Stripe dimensions?

Well, I'm going to try and order custom stripes tomorrow from a buddy of mine. I just don't know what size. I plan on getting a hood scoop eventually, but don't want the stripes so wide that they pass the hood scoop. I want 2 stripes right down the center. I want them wide and was thinking about 11" stripes with a 1" or 1 1/2" gap. What do you think? Too wide? Would they pass the edges of the scoop?

Btw: I'm getting matte black.

I was also considering hood spears.

If you are getting the factory hood scoop, it comes right to the edge of the raised portion of the hood. Best if you take some painters tape for the car and lay out the pattern you want and see where it lays on the hood. Other scoops might fit different.

I personally don't care for the hood spears.

Yeah, The factory one. I may just measure across my friends scoop and see if it would fit. We'll see.
