SilverHorse Racing flush-mount quarter window louvers
I'm wondering if anybody here has outfitted their 2005+ Mustang with the SilverHorse Racing flush-mount quarter window louvers. In particular, I'm wondering if you got them pre-painted and if so, how good was the paint match?

If I remember right, before the crash, those who did it were of the same mind, overall:
Buy them painted. Don't skimp on that.
And they're excellent when installed. Just got to make sure to follow directions, put enough goop in the channel to 'lift' the 'window' to the right level (but not too much, of course), and be sure to space it correctly all the way around. That, and patience, naturally.
I've been of a mind to do it, but... Still like what I got.

I consider them a double must. Must have on the car, and must buy prepainted. I purchased one of the very first sets, I was on the preorder before they were released. I was in too much of a hurry and bought them unpainted. I took them to a local shop w/ a very good reputation, the painter there also does custom motorcycle paint. Well, I was excited to pick them up and disappointed with how they looked. I put them in the car anyways, hoping to look past all the paint imperfections. About 2 months later I called Marcello and ordered a second set, this time prepainted. I felt comfortable doing this because I know he doesn't let crap go out the door. The set I received painted from him was flawless. I don't think this is a piece most places can get perfect on their first try. For his extremely reasonable price, and extremely high quality of work on the prepaints, it's the ONLY way to order them. IMHO, of course.
Edit: if you want install tips, let me know. Obviously, I've done it twice now. One more pic for you detailing the quality of the prepaints:

Thanks, everybody. Like many here, I'm planning on buying a 2011 Mustang GT and thinking of doing a little customization. I'm thinking of getting a Roush front facia and I'm also thinking about these louvers. It's not a question of skimping and trying to get it done cheaper. I just didn't know if the paint would be a good match to the factory paint. It sounds like there is a lot of customer satisfaction with pre-painted, so that's the way I'll go if I get them.

Heres a pic of my GT500 with them installed. I had them on my 05 GT also, the paint is top notch and the louvers fit perfect. These are the only louvers I would put on my cars, get them you wont be disappointed.

Thanks everyone for the compliments
As to the OP, the original thread is still here, you just need to use the search button for it - I used the term flush louver and found it (actually glad to see it is still here!) Oh, and we have the install down to about an hour on 05-09 cars, 2010+ still takes around 2.5 hours. WE just shot a video of it, once it is edited and cleaned up, we'll be posting it to our site as well. In the meantime, here's the new directions:
05-09:

So, for those of you with the louvers, did you install them yourself, or if a shop did them, how much did they charge to install? I'd say I'm pretty savvy with tools, but I don't like chancing any window stuff like this.
