aaaaand after 90 minutes of waiting at the tire shop they claim that they can't mount my wheels due to the small sidewall and how the lip/flange is on the wheels.
I'm so effing mad like I got home and my poor fiancee hasn't said hardly a word cuz she knows I left work early for this since it's like our only decent weather day yet for the week.

Because that's how things roll for me. Also gives my fiancee fodder to be like "stop modding the mustang"
I'm scheduled now for Saturday at a stupidly expensive shop (but a TireRack recommended installer) price will now be $160 to Mount and balance and program TPMS rather than 80 at the other shop.
They say they have a touchless wheel mounting machine and can do up to 24" wheels

I thought TPMS programmed itself simply by driving the car 10-15 minutes or so ...

no. it will not program itself.. You need a scan tool.. And to be honest, if your getting wheels and tires, id pay the premium to get it done and done right rather than go to the cheapest price. Its very easy to scratch wheels when mounting/balancing..
With that being said, thank god i run an auto shop

yup.
Genuine American Racing Shelby Torq Thrust M wheels. 20x8.5 up front and 20x10 out back. Tires are the newly released Toyo Proxes 4Plus in 255/35R20 and 295/30R20. I really don't have a want or need to change anything at all appearance wise, just want to make sure stuff is okay, like wheel/tire clearance (possibly change the rear springs if it's going to bottom out)
I'm also glad I chose the anthracite wheels as they don't clash with the stripes.
