Shorty Antenna

I'm about to pull the trigger on ordering a Scott Drake 4" shorty black billet antenna. When i watched the install video on cjponyparts.com and the dude made it seem like the bezel installation tool was needed to unscrew the stock antenna and screw in the shorty antenna. Do any of you guys no if the bezel tool is really needed or can you unscrew the antenna a different way. If possible I would like to try and avoid getting this tool since its ~20 bucks and im only going to use it once. Thanks

You need the tool, it is made specifically for pulling the antennae safely.

can you pick one up at the home depot or sears? 20 bucks seems like an awful lot for a piece of metal im going to only use once. If theres absolutely no way around it i guess i just have to go for it...

No it's a little 4 prong tool that fits on the base and turns it.
