Saleen front fascia

I've been looking at this a lot lately, and it's really growing on me. I was set on the CS lower with Boss 302 splitter, but this might just sway me from that.

On the other hand, looking around, I can only find it as a kit with the grille and emblem. I would like to switch it up a bit and keep the OEM grille with pony and fogs. As I've said in other threads, I feel that the large grille-mounted fog lights are a key design feature, and are unmistakable on the car.

So let's discuss...keep the original plan, or does someone know where I can find the bumper without the grille and badge. Or, am I stuck with that on their fascia (which would shock me)?

I'd need to see it photoshopped first. Something tells me it won't look right unless its the whole Saleen pkg. Including the rear...

I think it would look good. It reminds me of the eariler S197 CS models. I might end going the whole kit route bc the Saleen rear is the only one so far that really changes how the car looks.

Definitely this!

The OEM grille with pony/fogs looks great. Definitely one of the features that drew me (and my wife) to the Stang.

And going what your original plan - keeping those and just changing the lower fascia - will give it a unique look.

I'm not sure if he visits this site anymore, but WeinerDog had an excellent Photoshop of a Saleen front end with factory GT grille, complete with fogs. I think it looked great! I, too, am seriously interested in the Saleen fascia as well, but I'll have the matching Saleen grille to go with it. If you decide to take the plunge and purchase this fascia, I'd love to see how it looks on an otherwise-stock Mustang GT.

I'd love to see that! Why wouldn't he be on here any more? I'll go search his posts and see if I can find that PS.

Sorry, I guess I should have been more clear. He PM'd me a picture of said Saleen with OEM Ford grille over on another forum. I guess I inadvertently erased that PM; I had planned on holding onto it since I loved the look!

Wow I really like that! Hmm I wonder how much it would cost to paint/prep/install...

You could do the install yourself, which would probably take an hour or so to swap the grill over and bolt back up. I think paint would run $3-400 from a good shop.

Well, got some info from Saleen:

Turns out we can't just get the fascia by itself without the grille. You have to order the kit as a whole, for $799.

The 2010+ Front Fascia Kit as sold as a complete kit only. I am sorry, but you would need to purchase the kit as a whole. I do know that the grille has been popular, so if you wanted to sell it after the fact without using it, you could probably get back what money you would have saved had splitting the kit been possible.
Food for thought for everyone. I'd do it if I could find someone who would want the grille from me.

Thanks for finding that out, now I just need to decide on the Steeda Q series or CS front I guess.

I don't like the fog grille, but I think the Saleen fascia actually needs it since it doesn't have its own replacement fogs. Looks awesome!

I don't think you need the rest of the kit, in fact I think the side skirts are awful and I typically like body kits. But IMO you will need to colormatch the sides and rear just to make the lines match up. Maybe leave the center of the rear fascia black, ala last gen GT/CS.

I've already got the GT500 rear, and I was going to do the Roush side splitters as well, regardless of front end decision. I like it with the fogs in it the more I look at it. Keep in mind I also have the HIDs, so the headlamps would look a bit different.

This is beautiful. If it was Race Red it would be automotive perfection.
