Removing plastidip from hard to reach places
Removing plastidip from hard to reach places
Has anyone used Goo Gone or brake clean or some sort of solvent to remove plastidip from hard to reach spots without ruining clear coat?
I just removed it from my hood vents, it was a huge pain. I sprayed the layers too thin and I couldn't get much of it to peel off at once. I ended up using a credit card and small plastic tool like a scratch art knife to scrape it off and my fingers to rub it off... I wouldn't use goo gone or adhesive remover like products, but that's me
Depending on where the plastidip is that you are trying to remove, what about using a small plastic pipe cleaner? I have seen some that are completely plastic (no metal), which should prevent scratching. Goo Gone and other adhesive removes can damage the clear coat if left on too long.
