Rally stripes project

Well this is my first time attempting any kind of stripes with vinyl. Hardest part I think is centering everything up. So far I have the hood and bumper done. Hope to finish tomorrow if the weather lets me.

Looks good, especially for doing it yourself. Did you get the red pin stripe from the store, or a body shop?

A paintshop but I'm sure you can get it at an auto store. I chose 3/8" red pinstripe. I think I goes we'll with it.

I see. I assume the pin stripe from the store would be thicker than the vinyl.

Looks good. Are you planning on going down the bumper? I just finished mine if you need some tips. I like the red accent.

Yes I do , I tried and I failed, that little patch on the bumper got me frustrated so I cut it. The stripes taper into each other down on the bumper

I like the black, not sure about the red. Working with vinyl is such a pain.

Do the sections from the bottom up and overlap the pieces at the body lines. Then trim them along the body lines so you don't notice them. I sprayed the vinyl after taking all the backings off so it was easier to work with.

looks kinda Dodge Challenger-y

I like the red on the outside though. Cool custom touch.

They're called "rally stripes" on Camaros. they're called "Le Mans stripes" on Mustangs.

I like it! Especially the little red. What wheels are you planning?

I put red and later blue (in addition to the red) accents with the black stripes on my PW V6. Got a lot of comments, especially after I added the blue. I think some red at the inside of the black would finish it off even nicer.

Nice job. Looks like we got pretty much the same looking cars lol. Except the fog lights and red strip.

Thanks everyone for your opinions! Rally stripes , le mans
Stripes ...whatever they're called they're stripes to me lol I'm still working on finishing it. Deck lid is last to be done. I thought about doing the red accent in between the stripes to see what it'll look like, but I'll worry about later. I'm planning a modest drop and debating on magnum 500 wheels or a mesh type of wheel. Buddy of mine has a new set of chromium xxr 530 he never used. I might take them off his hands. But I'm still debating.
