Painting rims

Do you guys have any idea how much something like this would cost? I want to paint or powder coat my tsw rims matte black and gloss red. My rims now are holding up really well, but I don't know if they are painted or powder coated.

I'd go with powdercoating. Much tougher finish. I'd venture a guess of around ~$500 for that, depending on how much labor. I was quoted $300 for a set of 16" steel wheels to be acid dipped and powdercoated solid semi gloss black, just as a reference point.

Ok I'm getting a quote for powder coating soon. I got a quote of 350 to paint, and they bake the paint to make it more durable. I think I want to go the powder coat route though.

Don't do it....reminds me of 95% of the crap I see on the Camaro5 forum. Sorry, but I think it looks completely tacky, but that's just my opinion. And just because the Boss LS had red trimmed wheels doesn't mean those looked good either. Those were some of the ugliest stock wheels I've ever seen. They should have never been put on any car ever. Again, just my opinion. It's your car so you are free to do what you like.

I like the depth that it adds to the wheels! Should be awesome!

Yeah I have my concerns as well. I'm thinking about just doing a matte black face with gloss black windows instead. Off topic, will powder coat withstand salt from the road and snow ect? I might be moving to Ohio and I'm a little concerned.

I think that will look much better. As for powdercoating, I really don't know much about it. Hopefully someone wiser than me can chime in. That or maybe just try a Google search and see what kind of info you can find.
