Painted Key Slot

Painted Key Slot
So I was looking at my car and for some reason the unpainted key slot really started to stick out to me
I had some touch-up paint laying around, so I tried it out.
I cleaned it with alcohol before painting, and put on 2 coats. I don't know if it will start to chip off eventually, BUT I do know that it won't ever see a key being inserted into it, so it won't get scratched that way.
I know it's a minor detail, but things like this stick out to me.
I wish they didn't even put one on there. Does anyone ever use it??

I think it only looks like a "random indentation" If you know what you're looking for. The unpainted key slot still looks like a random indentation, only difference being it sticks out way more.
I wonder if the piece that is on the passanger side would work on the driver side? Looks like it's just mirrored and maybe could be flipped around...?

Just so you know, it is still fully functional. Maybe it's cuz the pictures are kinda crappy but it's not just gobbed up with paint, it looks exactly like the original key slot, just red. Almost like it was red anodized aluminum

I guess if it ever did happen i'd just call a locksmith.
BTW I couldn't find any plugs for our cars, just for the corvettes.

Def not something I would do. Reminds me of when people paint house doors but are to lazy to mask the door pieces off or the wall plates etc.. just being honest that I don't feel it. But hey not everyone is going to like what is done to your own ride. I also don't like Louvers to be the same as the body color. But again that's me. But the main thing is if you like it mission accomplished.

It looks much more pronounced body color. Fill it in properly and make it look right then it's cool. As it is... looks like a weird dent.
I'd be taking the paint back off, myself. But it's your car, forget whatever we say. You like it, keep it.
