Interesting (despite having to drill 26 holes) how the CS splitter looked to be designed for the Boss302 add-on. All the clip locations had the locators on it. Also interesting how sturdy the whole assembly becomes when you put it together.

A tip for those of you who would rather not do this on your back, its only 10 7mm hexhead screws and 10 push pins on the engine cover to remove the front bumper, was 15 minutes to pull it so I could do all of the drilling while just standing over the inverted assembly.
Looks great, I know what you mean about it being stronger, seems like it was meant for the splitter to be there for strength....

Do you have more info on this? Seen trans coolers for trucks and RVs that do a lot of towing, but not familiar using on cars (forgive my ignorance).

With some people experiencing transmission issues, worth getting this?
Easy to install?

It's a bracket that replaces the brace between the front LCA's. It has a duct to direct air up onto the transmission.

I removed my CS grill to cut out the rear section in front of the cold air intake and now am having difficulty with recliping one side of the grill. Any suggestions?

All right... officially on board with the Boss Splitter installed!

Although I have to admit, I did NOT do the install myself! I ordered the CS Front Fascia and GT500 Rear Diffuser from my Ford dealer... he offered the install of the fascia, the diffuser and the splitter for $50! Couldn't resist that deal, rather of myself figuring it out and messing it up. Install of all items was completed in less than 2 hours... looks absolutely awesome, especially with the Roush side rocker splitters!

That's exactly what I did to mine......great minds think a like. Did you ever think about getting the black pony grille emblem and tinting the fogs ? I think your car would look even more beastly then it already is. Looks good.

Paul:
I am definitely planning of replacing the pony emblem with either just the black one (2010) or actually a custom painted one.

Also considering doing something to the fogs, but don't know how much the tint would actually affect the light output at night. Any thoughts on that?

Stangmods.com has fog tints in 2 flavors 20% and 35% tint check it out. I got the 35% and love them I think they still let the fogs do their job. A few other guys got the tints on the forum also. For 15.00 or 20.00 bucks you can't go wrong. You can always peal them off.

Just placed my splitter order!

Thanks for all the info. I always wanted it, but seen AM price of $700+ and knew it had to be wrong! I was right, and now it's been ordered from newfordparts.com.

700.00 is for the Laguna Seca splitter, 120.00-140.00 is for the regular Boss splitter and the one you see pictured on this thread. I personally don't like the Laguna Seca splitter its huge.

I can see the LS splitter during track use, and strongly believe that it creates a ton of downforce, but there's a reason why Ford clearly states that the LS splitter is for off-road use only. I can't imagine going out of a driveway or parking garage with the LS splitter... most likely would tear it off in no time. I'm perfectly happy with the "regular" Boss splitter, as it looks aggressive enough, but not overpowering IMO... and the $500+ I saved in comparison... I have more $$$ to spend on some other mods!

I would wager it's because of either a) pedestrian safety regulations or b) IIHS regs that say front bumpers must be able to sustain an "x"mph collision without damage. Or both.
