New tires/wheels

I am ordering a new set of wheels I'm going from stock 18s to 19 8.5. And 9.5 rear a few questions... P.s. it's a 2010

1. Do I need new TPMS sensors or can they be re used? Explain...?
2. I assume I will need an alignment?

Ref #2: I have the stock 19's on my CS and go to SVT 18's for winter. No alignment is necessary, unless you notice tire wear when you take the old wheels off. I have used them for two winters, and have the stock wheels and tires back on. No problems.

I'd stay away from AMR wheels. Cheap crap imho. Had a set that shimmy and shook. Put stock wheels back on and shimmy was gone. Spend the cash on good wheels.

Your stock wheels look bad ***. Buy some springs like BMR and drop it!

I am buying the AMR rims as well and are in need of an alignment. Should I install the new tires and get an alignment at a shop or do the opposite?

Cheap wheels can sometimes be hard to balance. Perhaps this was his issue?

His issue was most likely the failure to remove the factory clips used to hold the assembly together. If you look at the back of the stock rims you will see a recessed circle for those clips to fit into. Aftermarket rims are not recessed for the clips so you have to remove the clips or else you will have issues. Too many people have rims from AM without issues, myself included, that if they really sucked nobody would be buying them.

The clips are on the studs holding the brake rotor on while the car is on the assembly line until the rims and tires are put on.

Sorry, I read what I wrote above and it wasn't very precise or clear. If the clips aren't removed from the studs, the new aftermarket rims won't sit flush with the rotors and will cause the shaking described above.
