New billet grille

Today I added a billet retro grill from American muscle. The install was a little intimidating because of removing the front bumper. Ended up not being as hard as I thought but a little time-consuming. It removes the upper honeycomb grille and just overlays the bottom grill, but I plan on removing it eventually and making a custom bracket so you don't see the honeycomb grill on the bottom anymore. For anyone that plans on doing it I recommend with the bumper on the ground put the outer grill insert back in the bumper once you remove the original grille then put the new grille in and mark your holes to drill. The reason for this is because the fog lights have barely any room to fit behind the grill so you have to get the depth right. Overall I'm very happy with the product and think it changes the front end to a classy look. Definitely better than the floppy factory grille. What do you guys think?

Most of the reviews on the A/M website say you don't need to remove the bumper cover like the instructions say.

And you can cut out most of the lower honeycomb, just leaving some for the overlay to attach to.

I went to a place that does a lot of custom mustang work and they quoted me 300 dollars to put one just upper grille. Because they said they'd have to take the bumper off blah blah blah. So decided I'd try it myself and sure enough after a little fiddling with the clips was able to get the surround out... glad I didn't waste my money :P

I think black would look much better but the bar design is definitely nicer than stock

Ya I think the black looks great to. When I was researching which grille to go with it seemed like most people had the black grille so I figured what the heck I'll try the polished billet for something different. I'm glad I picked the one I got but you can't go wrong with either one.

Black chrome would look sick if that was an option

Looking good! That grille definitely looks great, I always liked the hidden fog light look. I agree that the black grille is very common, I like the polished grille on your color Mustang!

Keep up the great work with your build and let me know if you have any questions or need some assistance in the near future!
