New AM Wheels and a Widening ?

My friend has a 07 GT500, so he got the newest 05-09 catalog from AM in the mail. The catalog has replica 2013 GT500 wheels, charcoal, or gloss black, for under $200 depending on size. These wheels are not on the website, and not in the 10-13 catalog...

I called today and they said they will be available within a month.

Just thought some people would like to know that.

Does anybody know if I will be able to widen these in 18" to an 11" width without issue. I have adjustable lowering if that helps.

There is a good place in livonia, michigan that does this. They should be able to take care of it, no problem.

Why spend the 250 per wheel to have them widened when they are set of cast wheels?

Spend the money and get a better set that comes in the offset and size that you need.

I am not knocking AM wheels. They are a good value and serve a purpose. Most cannot or will not spend money on a high quality set of wheels.

I get that.

You can be the forged OEM originals in takeoff form with tires and tpms for 2500. They are all over SVTPERFORMANCE.com in the market section.

What size are the OEM wheels....I want wide tires, not necessarily need.

I imagine they are not 11" wide.

I can't spend 2500 on take offs then another 1k plus on wide tires.

I was gonna get forgestar cf5s, but I really like the design of the gt500s. And I can have the sizes I want for 3-400 less. I know the wheels aren't as quality.

I'll get a pic ASAP.

Just a heads up - the wheels are on the AM website now, on the main wheels list:

God I hate those wheels. What I want them to sell is the *non* SVTPP wheels for the 2013.

They are 9.5", 19s in front and 20s in the rear. I had mine widened to 11". I was originally going to sell mine, but once I saw them in person and on the car I loved them.
