My baby was backed into today

Took my car to the car wash today for a nice, professional hand wash and as it was sitting in line a kid who worked there accidentally backed into it and hit it with his trailer hitch. It sounds a lot worse than it was but the lower front valance was wounded in the air inlet below the grill. I am just thankful because it *should* have been a lot worse. By the grace of the divine it wasn't too badly hurt. Rather than get police and insurance involved, he just paid me out of pocket and we called it a day. Now I'm looking at a new chin spoiler. I really like the CDC chin spoiler and like even more that I can add the RTR splitter at a later date through Stage 3 Motorsport. What do you guys think? I'm on a $250 budget.

1. That GT plastic front piece can be replaced for about 100 bucks. Replace and pocket the rest.

2. Rub back to black and buff for about 20 bucks. Pocket the rest.

3. Spend the money on other mods and live with it. You can't even see the damage.

Looks like the hitch was juuustt high enough to spare you. I know how u feel tho. Even if 99/100 people don't see it, it would drive me nuts. 2011/12 or 2013??

I wish I could see the top of how your temp sensor is fastened to the bumper. Mine is super loose. It's never fallen out but still bugs me that it's not tight. Anyway...

Is there any stress mark on the plastic? A scuff will cover up with back to black. I promise.

Any chips on the paint where the hitch hit?

With that damage I wouldn't have made the kid even pay. I'd just get a cs valance or if you want to save money, I'll let you have my old front valance for $50.

At first I wasn't that bothered by it, but the more I saw it, the more aggravated I was. And I would definitely have some spotlight syndrome for even that. Lord knows I was sooooo lucky.

There is a pretty nasty stress mark that's accompanied by a bump and indented marks that the hitch made. Before the car got washed, I thought most of it would buff right out. I don't think that this particular damage is repairable, however. And there was one tiny chip in the paint that may just be visible in the pic.

I appreciate the offer but I believe that I am going to grab a CDC Chin Spoiler from American Muscle.
