Locking gas cap/plug
I've always enjoyed the capless system we have and also on the Fusion I had. But the more I think about it, who's to stop some trixster from putting crap in my gas tank? Anyone else concerned or care about this? I probably wouldn't use it all the time, but for $27 bucks I think it's cheap insurance.

IMO you guys don't have to worry about those things. You can't even add gas to the tank from a gas can without the special funnel thing.

Yep, gotta trip the two side buttons to get it to open..... I guess if one came prepared and knows the system, they could manage to put something in it. As for water, I have yet to see a problem in rain or washing and I drive mine all the time plus always rinse out under that door when washing.

A locking gas cap will, while disallowing people from putting crap in the tank, net you a drilled tank if a person is determined to get your gas.
I think I'll just let them have the gas, and take the chance nobody's gonna mess with it otherwise.

Was also one of the first things I bought. Ordered it from newfordparts.com for $ 21. I wasn't concerned about siphoning, as much as I am idiots putting crap into the tank. Sugar and other stuff could be deadly for any engine.

I own one. You never know when some little fat kid next door will get the bright idea to grab a funnel and some sugar because you played human Frogger with him in the street with your car that one time.
