Let's See Your Concave Wheels
Finally got my Milans last night. Love the look of them on the car. And now I can actually see my DIB calipers too! Tires are Toyo Proxes 4 Plus in 255/35/20 & 295/30/20

MMD 551c wheels are CHINESE, 18x8 18x9 and 18x10
After researching them and checking all the specs, was between Rovos Durban and these, I picked these because they are lighter, I think they look better, and are 18x10 instead of 18x10.5.
It says "made in china" big and bold on the box they show up in. Sure they carry a lifetime warranty but your life doesn't.
One came with the protective sheet and plastic lip holding it on in the box, the other didn't and is scuffed. Called American Muscle and all they said was you can send them back if you want. No apologies. I also ordered a set of tires just for these wheels so I can't even exchange them for the Durbans... And I'm riding on chinese wheels in my Mustang...

If you want to pay for American made wheels, with American materials, expect to pay about $4k for a set. I did a lot of research when I ended up with my Centerlines (also made in China). I realized there's a HUGE gap in the market between Chinese cast, "flow formed" forged in the US (with Chinese aluminum), and forged mono/2-piece/3-piece, made in US with US aluminum wheels.

First post so I'll give you the benefit of the doubt. You need to do more research...ALL of these wheels, including the original cast Vossens, are made in China. Guess what? Your stock wheels are too!! Even the forged GT500 stock wheels are made in Taiwan.

I bought a set of Made in China concave wheels assuming thats where they are most likely made. Lo and behold, there's that 'Made in China' sticker. The sticker is in the same font as the labels on the dry goods I buy in Chinatown SF to boot!
However, I'm quite stoked by them and I think they're quite bada55, but then again there is that worry in the back of my head. I brought a stock wheel and one of my new ones to a fellow at Pep Boys and he assured me they're made to strict standards (yeah right?). He also told me one isn't necessarily better than the other, but the new ones are definitely lighter. Pics forthcoming.
So there's bad and good. Just saying'. Btw laser, the eastern end of the Bay Bridge is made of Chinese steel, is already rusting, and rivets are popping.
But please corporate America, lets bring manufacturing and jobs back home.

And Now for Something Completely Different.......
I really loved by Appearance Package Machined/Black rims but only wished they were wider.
See the difference? These are replica machined Appearance Wheels, only wider. The rears are 19x10 replicas with a 42 offset so they are concave and are flush with with the fender. The fronts are the stock 19x8.5 for now, but I am getting the 19x9 with a 32 offset. You might think it crazy just for the half inch but now the fronts look tucked in compared to the rears. The replicas will push the fronts out too. Fronts are arriving Wednesday. The rears have 275/40 and I'm keeping the 245/45 up front. According to the tire calculator the 245's are at the top limit of tire width for a 9" wide wheel. The wheel gap looks big because I'm parked on an incline.
