Love the wheels in post #3 and the Vossen above. Too bad they don't offer them in black.
:( |
Very nice!!!
|
I must be getting way too old, but still prefer the deeper face/machined/polished lip wheels...there are some beautiful flat faced wheels out there, but I still like the oldschool shape...just wish someone made a higher quality torq-thrust looking DD forged wheel. the machining on most of the new wheels is really impressive- theyre running a new camaro wheel at work, and unpainted it is gorgeous- saw them in black on a gm website and just couldnt help but think what a shame to paint all that beautiful machining...like painting old hardwood trim in a century home, just dont feel right to me to cover up great material with lesser material... like i said, must be getting old :(

Too bad the owner doesn't have the money to buy the new wheels and tires that he really wants. :bad: lol |
They are indeed BFGoodrich KDW's.....285/35/19 front and rear

Fronts too...man, that's some serious contact patch. |
With the offset of the rims and having the same size front and rear I can at least rotate them....as expensive as tires are I figured it was a good idea !!

Steve, you're making me want to spend more money here!! :fear: lol I don't know much about the wheel company and have been doing some research. Not much out there really.

Stage, this whole forum makes me want to spend money. I have to stay off YouTube and the dang exhaust videos or I would never get anything done. Gloss black would look sick. There isn't much out there on the wheels because it's a brand new company.
I would rather get some wheels that are light compared to the stock 30+lb bricks they put on this thing. I think the Track Pack cars should've gotten lighter wheels NOT made in China. But that's just me. Something like the TSW Intergalos in 19x9.5 is around 22lbs per wheel. The flush offset is nice too. I spent about 2 hours the other night going through 33 pages of a wheel thread pulling all the info with offsets/sizes/tires/spacers needed to clear the Brembos and put it all on an excel spreadsheet if anyone wants the info PM me your email address and I will email it to you. This is how I know I'm a car guy. |

Yes, they are. The main reason I like them is the concave. I think they have the deepest concave compared to the others. |

We just picked up Velgen, great wheel company. We're offering great forum discounts right now for Velgen, Vossen, Rohana and Avant Garde. Here are a few pics. The Avant Gardes that were on our Boss are now on Doug's (Stanglife) car. Looks much, much better on his.
Found a good pick of the 510's, I'll have some example wheels during mustang week, along with Rohana, Projekt and TSW. |

Ace wheels stepped up their game for 2013, I test fitted their Mesh 7's and the fitment was spot on for a 19x10 square set up.

Excuse me while i go beg for more overtime. I found this on another site,.....The tires in the photoshoot are 255/30/20 and 295/30/20. These were picked by the owner based on the suspension setup. You can go up to 275/35/20 and 305/35/20 on these wheels without issues. Michelin, Nitto, and Pirelli all make 305/35/20's. Your best bet is to email,....Paul@HoweyIndustries.com |
Thanks Stage 3, funny you should mention Paul, I've actually already received a good quote from him on a set of these. I think i will likely mirror the gt500 for tire sizes. the 305 would be kind of awesome to have but i want to get nitto tires and they only have a NT555r in that size and since i daily drive my stang all summer im sure those would suck even if someone spit on the ground in front of me. thinking 255F/295R in a set of Invos. However sadly the rims and tires may be pushed until next year due to other financial priorities since i just sold my previous winter beater im gonna have to look for another one.
hmmm Maybe if i can work enough overtime i might be able to swing it. |

i like them Aces SunKing!
|
That GT500 is running 295/25 on the Velgens in those pictures. You'll be very hard pressed running a 305/35 on a 10.5 inch rim with a 45mm offset without rubbing. We might be putting these on our Boss or Shelby for some photo shoots but will most likely be running 305/30 t toyo T1Rs.
You can talk to Harold at Hypermotive as I will be in the middle of PCSing then deploying. Its fun when a bunch of active duty military guys run a company:) |
