the hood is going to be body color and the vent and mesh in the vent is going to be matte black. and i ordered fog lights that fit h3 bulbs cause i read somewhere that the bulbs for the regular housings are hard to find.

i got a question, i looked up the service bulletins at school today and theres one for tapping on cold start. something about the oil passages in the cam but its only for cars built before a cretin date. how do i tell when my car was built? mine makes tapping noise on cold start up.

just a update, the guy got the parts primed but its been raining and really humid so he hasnt been able to get the base coat on yet. he hopes to have it done one tuesday.

 

its not done yet but heres a pic of the progress. turns out the driver side headlight mount was broke too and i need a different radiator shield and a few other things to finish it off. the stuff should be here tomorrow morning. cant wait!

thanks guys! i bought the gt500 style stripes but not sure if i want to put them on or not. also i need something to put on the sides of the car cause it looks kinda empty from the side with out the mca stripes on it.

I need to see the side view and front view when it's finished. I kinda like it without.

If I did get the stripes, I'd buy some larger black wheels.. I know, I know, more money! Lol

 

different wheels is out of the question haha. my camaro had staggered 20 inch rims and tires for those are expensive! i think i paid like $500 for just the back 2 on it (for some reason the back tires wear a little faster lol). but it looks horribly plain right now. it doesnt have a side badge or those lower rocker stripes or mca stripes on it so something has to be added to the sides at least. i am going to be getting the windows darker than they are. they are 27% now and im going to put something like 10-15 on it with a 4 inch wind shield strip. not sure if that will help with the emptyness look but i dont think it will.

i thought about getting those but i couldnt find them in a matte black color. i guess gloss black would be good too.

 

Just plasti dip them for a matte finish.

 

Matte stripes, rocker stripes, and a drop would make it look amazing along with a gt500 spoiler.

 

Lookin good so far. I'd paint the emblem matte black for now so it blends in, then maybe pick up another grille you can modify to put the pony emblem on, so you have an extra to mess up.
