Hahaha I was literally thinking "I bet Jason wishes a deer would hit his car so he could get the Steeda fascia" lol

haha i really dont like the 2013 gt500 grille that much. i like the 2010-2012 much better. the insurance company added some random parts in on the quote that had nothing to do with me hitting the deer. i have no idea why they did that, they arent messed up. parts like rear view mirror, side mirror, driver side inner finder. heres the hood im thinking about going with, is it a good quality hood?

I don't have any input, but that'll look so sick!!! If you look up the black mamba conversion/hood whatever it is and you see the black car with the Shelby front and boss wheels, it's one of my favorites. I believe they took the snake out of the grille as well. And I love that they left the regular headlights. It all looks great together IMO. You can also see it driving around if you look up borla exhaust on YouTube

basically all of that. might not need the foam support behind, but that's basically it. you'll need either a GT500 or a '13 hood too.

well i just ordered all of the stuff. i ordered a bunch of stuff i probably wont need but id rather have it and not need it than not have it and need it. i ordered the carbon fiber gt500 style hood too. everything should be here tuesday or Wednesday from the ford place and the hood will be here by next friday. is there any extra steps to paint a carbon fiber hood?

You gotta do some stripes then! Let it come through somehow. Then whenever haters come along and ask if it's real carbon fiber you can say yeah

You usually don't paint carbon fiber. That's the point of it.

You may want to switch to the same gel coated or primered hood. That's going to be a bltch painting over carbon fiber for the sole reason that its not intended to be painted.

thought painting the hood except for natural "carbon fiber" stripes (but clear coated) would be kick *** and then just put stripes on the rest of the car in a greyish black.

i already ordered the gt500 style matte black stripes on american muscle. i really dont like the look of carbon fiber. i just ordered it cause it was cheaper than buying a stock hood and its light.

I'm sure the shop will sand the hood or use an epoxy type primer. Remember, Lambos have painted CF parts. It can be done but just be sure you have a good body man.
