EDIT: Mods, can you please change the title of the thread to "dark bronze" instead of "gold"? I'm looking for gunmetal or dark bronze rims... not sure why I said gold...lol

Folks... I swear I am losing my mind. Trying to find rims that would look good on my Kona. I know I saw someone on here who had dark bronze rims on their Kona. It looked great. But I can't find it Can someone please post any pics they have of either gunmetal or dark bronze(preferrably deep dish) rims on Kona? I am trying to decide if or when I should get rims for Marilyn....before an SC?

Better yet, I prefer deep dish rims... I used to love Volks, when I had imports (Z, G, rX7, etc). Obviously, I can't have Volks on a Stang. Lol. Does anybody have any recommendations/pics of gunmetal/dark bronze deep dish rims themselves???

Why can't you put Volks on a Mustang? It's your car, and you definitely wouldn't be the first. That being said, I'd check out the 10th Anniversary Cobra replicas from LRS. Go 18x9 and 18x10 in the bronze color. Would look awesome on Kona!

 

Yeah I will check those out. Though I really prefer 19s because the stance is perfect. As far as volks, I dunno... I figured they were only for imports.but they look great.

 

Hmm seems like they don't make the bronze ones anymore! Sorry about that. Might be able to find a used set?

I think the polished aluminum looks awesome on any dark color.

 

Oh I just have the stock brembos... But I never said they looked bad. I just love deep dish rims. and change is always good. Would be nice to have another set of rims just to change back and forth to.

 

Zto5, as clean as you keep your car, I think it would be an injustice to have anything but chrome, gloss black, or possibly black chrome. Your car just shines too much for a dull finished wheel. Just my opinion.

 

Thanks Al...you know what, you are the second person I have heard mention black chrome. What is it? This intrigues me. Got pics? Is it essentially like a gloss black?

That's a cobraR copy. Check out cruzinconcepts and see what's available. If you want something totally different, I've been dreaming of a candy color powder coat over a chrome wheel also. Custom powder coaters can do some really cool stuff.
