heated mirrors for a 2012
I have a 2012 V6 premium mustang, it has heated seats but no heated mirrors, I was wondering if it was possible to retrofit the car with the newer or older heated mirrors. Living in Canada there is icing conditions at least 5 months in the year and it can be a chore to try to scrape off a heavy coat of ice on those things, I was also wondering if the wiring is already in place to do such a conversion.
Thank you, for any information you can give me.

Andre', if you have a premium level it should have a rear defroster. If it's like my '13 the heated mirrors come on when you turn on the rear window defrost as they come as a pair. I may be completely wrong, don't think I am, but have you tried this?

Heated mirrors are only available on '13+ cars as far as I know.

Heated mirrors only come on 13+ models with comfort pack. I use to have '12 V6 with comfort pack and it was the same as yours. Heated seats but no mirrors. As far as I know no one has come up with a way to retro fit.

Thanks for the replies, I had the 2012 mustang for two winters but just to be sure I put the rear defroster on and the mirror glass stayed cold.
I got the parts-price list for the 2013 heated mirrors with puddle lamps and you can buy the whole assembly or individual parts including the heated mirror glass, I included the link below...
http://www.group1autoparts.com/parts-catalog/ford/mustang/2013/boss-302/5-0l-v8-gas/body-hardware/outside-mirrors
I read recently that someone who had a 2011 Mustang wanted the puddle lights and so bought some 2013 mirrors and it was just a plug-in job, no modification involved, not only did the puddle lights work but also the heated mirror, if I could get confirmation before I bought these things, it would be great.
I find it odd that ford would not even offer the heated mirrors as an option from 2010 to 2012 when all that is needed, it seems, is a heating element behind the mirror glass, all the rest being already in place !

I should have checked this in the beginning, but I only have 3 wires going into the mirror assembly on my 2012 mustang and the 2013 has 7 wires so I would need to change the wire harness, I give up !
