GT/CS fog lights

Just curious as to anyone installing the front fascia with the fogs having issues with lack of visibility with the fog lights.
I installed mine and I must say the visibility with the fogs alone suck, I mean on a dark road you cant see anything in front of you 25 feet away. The light doesn't project very far.
Did you have to have them aimed?
How about those with Factory GT/CS's, do you see any lack in light distribution with just your fogs on?

I installed the gt/CS fascia on mine, they don't illuminate as well as the grill mounted ones but as long as you run the headlights along with them it's plenty bright

I have a gt/cs. The fogs don't do much but it's all about the look they give in daytime with the parking lights and the fogs

It sounds like you're wanting headlights...not fog lights.

I don't know why you would run at night with just lower fogs....that makes no sense...

Fog lights are designed to only illuminate right in front of the car, not down the road anyways.

You should visit an aftermarket lighting website, such as PIAA or Hella. They show beam patterns for various types of lights. You will see that fog lights have a short wide beam, while driving lights have a long narrow beam.

BTW, you can replace the bulbs in your fog lights with Sylvania SilverStars and get more light out 'em - that's what I did (and I put Silverstar Ultra's in my headlights).

I am not driving with just the lower fogs. I am just asking if when installing the front fascia if they had to have the lights aimed.
I dont feel the lights are aimed very good on my fascia as the light is barly
visible with the headlights on.
I can turn them on and off leaving the headlights on and you can only faintly see a differance when they are on.
The headlights on these cars arent the greatest as it is and I was just wondering if it was just me or does everyone feel the same way. especially those who have a factory built GT/CS.

The fogs really work as a "fill in" light closer to the car. Not near what the grill units do. I find no aiming in the mounts. For me, they are fine.

My headlights alone do a great job and I do a lot of country night driving. I do run the lower fogs with the headlights too.

I don't have the GT/CS front on my car....but I do have lower fogs....upgrade the bulb if you aren't satisfied....a lot of guys are going HID, or LED....bright light guaranteed.
In fact, there is a guy with HIDs that runs around town with just his lower fogs on at night...

The fog lights shouldn't really give you much more visibility. Maybe a little more on the outside of the car immediately in front, but that's all. Getting brighter bulbs just gives you improperly aimed "headlights" and defeats the purpose of foglights.
