Guys, the difference exists is that a set price is created on any arbitrary part to start, and if they decide to make it an available accessory, they drop the price significantly.
It's the case so far in everything. One would say I paid close to 50% more than I should have for my grilles, foglights and boss 302 diffuser, if not more, but that was the price I paid for being one of the first, and in some cases the first (at least documented here) to add all the California Special bits. yeah I paid more, and I'm not miffed that all the parts are like half the price now, cuz i wanted the parts then. not 3 months later from that point.
Now start buying stuff!

By the way, you are correct, they had the boss upper grille on sale for $150, but also stated that it was limited time sale price.

Wow, I really dig that Stillen. Unfortunately the issue I run into now is since my car is lowered, the front end wants to scrape on my work driveway, unless i enter and exit at an angle. I'd really like to see it dead on to really get an idea. Looks like it would look great painted and even natural without paint.

Yes! Stillen version look awesome. My favorite so far, but the choice come down to roush and stillen for me. However, $299 seem a little steep IMO. I wish it was $199 and I wouldn't ask questions lol. Whichever I go with I plan to wrap it in hexis carbon fiber wrap. More money, more mods, geez
Diva, what springs did you end up with?

I went with K Springs. I'm still thinking about buying the Roush front, but it's not really *required*
At this point, I consider the car basically complete. Stripes scheduled to be redone in white next week (no decision changing, it's what I always wanted, even if it's not the meanest looking)
Stuff to happen/be installed fairly immediately:
- Custom Maryland plate ordered needs to arrive and be installed - "PWNIE"
- Lower billet grille ordered and shipped, needs to arrive and be installed
- Higher Kelvin HIDs (4500k) for headlights ordered and shipped, needs to arrive and be installed (4500k HIDs for foglights were installed earlier this week)
- Change stripes on car from black to white. Scheduled to be done on Oct. 4th
- Test and confirm that latest revision of BamaCam tune is 100% dialed in, and surge and stall free. (Uploaded new tune this morning) *Once tested for a week, obtain revision of non-cam tune to match in 87 octane and 93 octane
Upcoming months:
- Obtain 18" GT500 wheels or some others that will clear the brembos and install All-Season or Snow Tires for the approaching winter.
----------
Things I'm still considering but not "sold on"
- Billet Fuel Door
- Roush front splitter
- Window tint (low priority. Will get done for sure, but low on my list)
- Aftermarket Offroad H-Pipe

WOW! you definitely got everything planned out! I would love to see how 4500k is going to look on our cars. I was thinking about going with higher Kelvin but wasn't too sure how it would look. Some aftermarket HID bulbs look cheesy and cheap. I like to get that BMW HID look that give off very sharp blue reflection in certain angle. I wonder if that can be achieved with our factory HID setup.

I'm only making the change because my projector fog lights emit a whiter light than the headlights that is somewhat noticeable, so I'm just shifting it slightly so they match.

I think you are correct. I actually heard this before when I wanted to know the same for my 11 camaro HID, but what do I know about how light output work on these cars lol
Do you have any pics of your current transformation with the cali grill?
So basically MCA grill is billet and cali is black?

This is the current front end as is. Yes, MCA is polished looking, and Cali is gloss black.

How much winter you figure we'll get around here this year? I work a couple of blocks from my front door, so if stuff starts falling out of the sky my car may just stay in the damned garage until Spring.
