Getting tired of the two flashlights taped to my hood
I really need a set of better lights, would be nice if i could get some bulbs, but i hear they burn out quick, and they run at higher temperatures which can melt or warp the housing.
Guys with after market bulbs, what are you using?
Any input in terms of that?
What about OEM projectors, i cant find them anywhere online, not even on ebay.
A member from another forum said he had to order his from the dealer and they cost him an arm and a leg.
Anybody have input on this? Any idea how much they could go for, maybe even a website where i can get them?
TIA

I have been looking at aftermarket options but all the stuff is too rice for me.
This is a typical product:
I want something OEM like, not something that looks like it came out of a honda civic catalogue from japan.

Buy a set of new OEM light housings and have them retrofitted with another mfg's projectors and HIDs. Do a quick search - there's a few sites that will do this for you. You can have the housings custom painted, but I'd just leave them chrome so they look OEM. You can even have halos put on if you want.

go projector or retrosolutions (they are the best and has capping but will still scatter)

On my former 08 Mustang, I replaced the H13 headlamp bulbs with Sylvania Silverstar Ultras. They have improved light output over standard bulbs. I had that 08 for four years and they never burned out. I also have a 05 Chevy Cavalier that I put Silverstar Ultras in and they are still working.
This weekend I finally got around to replacing the standard H13 bulbs in my 2010 Mustang and I replaced them with the new Sylvania ZXE's which are Xenon gas filled and have a bluer tinting that makes the light 4200K and very white without looking stupid blue. They are indeed still DOT compliant. I liked them so much that I decided to replace the H11 fog lamp bulbs with the same type bulbs.

So i phoned the dealer and its 1400$ for one OEM HID head light. Which means the pair would be just under 3000$.
My first question to them was how many cars im getting for that price.

Currently a Corvette Owner!
For the headlights, a high-quality HID conversion kit will work great, the difference is astonishing, see my old thread: https://themustangsource.com/f816/hi...remium-503284/
------------------
For the fogs, Hoen makes an excellent (and simple) bulb replacement, for size H10, here's their website: http://www.hoen-usa.com/fog.htm
Just my two cents...good luck!

Has anyone tried to or replaced the standard headlight bulbs with Silverstars on their 2012's?
Bought a set of the H13/ 9008 Silverstar Ultras & the bulb connector is different & won't fit the 2012 harness. The car side plug is wider & thinner.
Anyone know the correct # for the 12's?
And, if interested, I have a pair of Sylvania Silverstar Ultras, # H13 I'll sell for $20.00 shipped. New, but package opened.
