That's what I thought as well. Pre-production shots of the B302 wheels had the tri-bar caps, but production cars are showing up with the BBP caps. I would think they'd keep a common cap size for tooling purposes.

So which caps are these?

Is the color darker?

Taken from Parts Cheap Brembo Cap

"This wheel cap is the wheel cap included on 2010-2012 Ford Mustang's with the Brembo Brake package.
Will fit any OEM wheel with this style cap, will not fit flush cap mount style wheels.

NOTE: This is sold as a single piece, not a set of 4, please add qty 4 to your cart to furnish all wheels.
Fits: 2005-2012 Mustang with appropriate wheel."

So I guess the question is; is this flush cap mount type wheel?

I wish we could get to the bottom of this!

Those maybe the tri-bar cap # 1R3Z-1130-AA, I have tried those on the FRPP version of the SVTPP rims, they fit fine but they stick up about 1/16th of an inch instead of totally flush like the SVT caps.

The centercap on the SVTPP and FRPP SVT wheels fits into the center of the rim as opposed to the Bullitt, Brembo and I think the FRPP 302LS rims where the cap sits up above the center of the rim.

I have tried the caps from both the Bullitt style rims and the Brembo rims on the SVTPP and FRPP SVT rims and I could not get them to fit.

The color of the FRPP version of the SVT rim IMHO is a more uniform satin grey finish. I would say they are a little lighter then the SVTPP rim but not by much.

I went to a Mustang/Ford show recently in Florida.

Here are some photo's of an FRPP wheel display.

I think that the FRPP SVT rim uses a flush mounted cap. I think that the Boss 302LS rim uses the same type of cap as on a Bullitt or Brembo wheel.
Looks like the same cap on both the FRPP Boss rim and the FRPP Brembo rim.

Thanks, yep if you look at the first picture it looks like the 302LS and Black Track Pack (Brembo) wheel have the same center cap style where it has the chrome lip that sits on top of the rim whereas SVT rims seem to have either flush or recessed (in the case of the FRPP SVTPP wheel) center caps. Thanks for the pictures!

Thanks for the photos. I thought the caps on the SVT PP wheels were different. I'd actually prefer a lighter wheel so I'm good with the color. I really like the 10 spoke SVT wheels from the 07 Shelbys, the one above the LS wheel, and may buy a set for track wheels if I get serious about tracking my car more than 3-4 days a year.

BTW I sent Montreal Ponies a PM asking him to join the conversation.

I'm going to a Ford dealer later this morning to check out a RR Boss and will look closely at the wheels on the Boss and the GT500 PP car they have.

Ok guys, the center caps that came with the SVTPP wheels were the Ford racing ones which i didn't like so i got the Ford racing pony emblem center caps model M-1096 K. They measure 2 9/16" in overall diameter. As mentionned in another post, they fit the wheel perfectly, but they stick out about 1/16th of an inch. You couldn't really tell unless you were really looking closely.
If they will fit the new Boss wheels, i'm really not sure, better give Ford racing a call of make sure they are the right diameter. I got mine from CJ pony parts and are made by FoMoCo. here are a couple of photos from my car.

Thanks for posting Daniel. Do you think the FRPP wheels are lighter in color than the SVT wheels on the GT500? How about some more photos of your whole car?

I would say they are almost a perfect match. Very very close. These wheels are at their best in broad daylight, that's when they stand out the best. This is my third set of wheels and i'm keeping these for sure. Will try to find some time to snap a few photos elsewhere than in my driveway.

They are the EXACT same color. Any difference in color is a wheel to wheel variation which would be seen if you compared multiple sets of SVTPP wheels.

Thanks. I'm seriously thinking about adding a set to my kona blue Boss 302 when it arrives. Of course I change my mind weekly.

Ive looked at pictures of Boss #001 tons of times and somehow this never popped into my head while we were figuring out center caps. I know this is LS and not SVT PP but still...
