strong as hell though. these are street wheels after all. The difference between a 20lb race wheel and a 30lb street wheel (on the street) isn’t a big deal. You will NEVER notice the difference in handling. the shock and spring package from the factory is setup to control that amount of weight. And the difference in fuel economy is inconsequential

Keep in mind these wheels are HUGE compared to wheels of yester-year. I remember when a 17x9 was mind blowing!

Shaun, do you know the actual weights of the 302S and SVTPP wheels in 19x9 and 19x10? Which is stronger and does the Rehagan crew have a preference between those two for mostly street work?

That's definitely true. Though I'd still love to run some forged Rays and 2pc rotors on the 5.0.

Preference is going to come down to $, which style you prefer.

weight wise the only thing I has access here at my desk (I am at my other job right now) is the shipping weight from FRPP, but that includes all the packing material..........

the SVTPP wheels' shipping weight is lower then the Boss S when you compare 9" to 9" and 10" to 10"

My point is if they were forged I'm sure they would say so. The SVTPP wheels say forged yet they are not light but they look pretty sweet.

Money is not a factor between the two at this point but money is always a factor. I really like the SVTPP wheels but I'm still not sure how the gunmetal color will look on Kona Blue.

Yeah, I wouldn't be too pleased with maintenance cost for 2pc rotors on a street car. I really want to slap some TE37SL's on the 5.0, though...

HA! I had a student at a local track day who had those on his EVO and in my head I thought "man i bet those would look killer on my car!"

Great minds think alike?

I'll take that as official. My thought is to get the gloss black off of the car and that includes adding a TruCarbon GT500 rear spoiler. I don't think the gloss black looks good with the white stripe package.

Its just one man's opinion, We built a 5.0 and put those wheels on it and I LOVED it. This picture does not do this car justice.

That's the photo that got me thinking about it. Got any more photos of that car? Will the other Mustang wheel caps fit those wheels?

Definitely

I'd love to try them, but I'll probably end up with the SVTPP wheels. I've thought about sending my stock Brembo wheels to Weldcraft wheels for widening since I do like them... but I like the SVTPPs more.

Including the TE37, Volk makes a bunch of beautiful wheels I think would go with the Mustang. Such as the following:

I would easily put down the money on some Ray's Wheels, even if they were track only wheels.

Definitely. I love the Volks. The TE37 is a classic. I was going to order the SL's for my 370 but ended up getting the 5.0. I'd have to see how the fitment would be, but if everything lined up right they'd look awesome on a 5.0!

That picture of the kona blue with the SVTPP rims is what got me wanting those rims as well! Im still torn between the SVTPP wheels and the 302LS wheels. I've seen pictures of both on kona blue and both look really good (as long as the centercap is switched to black brembo pony or black tri-bar pony instead of the silver frpp centercap IMO). One of those sets will be my street wheels (when i can finally make up my mind!) and am planning on the 18x9.5 SVT wheels for the track.

Kona Blue + SVT PP wheels = Winning!

The only thing I don't like is the caps. Swapping out the FRPP caps for a set of the Brembo "running pony" caps and it'd look killer.
