Yeah, looks good... and definitely takes the edge off like you said. The stock look is just too huge and bright, I agree.

Looks really good.

Still hoping / waiting for a company to make some that say 5.0 on them.

It would be nice if a company came out with a replacement. A faux faux gas cap. I would replace mine.

I saw on ebay yesterday a home made looking one that looked like someone glued a 5.0 badge from the fender on a black plastic plate. It's a prototype lol!

There is one nice thing about the faux gas cap. The ring doesn't show fingerprints, so it's a good place to grab to close the truck, rather than getting fingerprints on the painted finish of the trunk lid. I do prefer the look of the pony to the GT, but I won't bother changing mine.

I used plastic dip on mine and I think it matched up pretty good.

I think it came out pretty decent, but I would have liked the "GT" in chrome lettering a bit better. Just with the ring itself painted I guess.

I love that tape job, lol. Seriously, I think you did a good job with a can of paint. It does tone it down a bit.

Thats great. If I find a faux gas cap replacement for mine I will make a necklace out of the original to wear to Mustang meets. lol

How is the cap attached to the car? Has anybody removed this cap?
