Do I REALLY need hood pins? Or is there another way?

I have a Cervinis Type IV hood that flutters like a bird at 75 mph and faster. I ordered hood pins but realized I REALLY don't want them - don't want to install and they don't go with the look of my ride.

Is there anything I can try? Anything that can be adjusted before I'm forced to take this step?

Stealth hood pins can't see them from outside.

I did see those, and consider them. But seeing feedback from other people questioning the strength of the 4 screws that hold the pin to the underside of the hood! But maybe it's not that big of a deal.

Why is this in the 2010+ Exterior Mods section?

Obviously a mistake. Not something I'd, or probably anyone else, would do intentionally since it defeats the purpose of making a post asking for information.

Mods, please move to appropriate generation. Thanks!

If there is enough force to rip 8 of the screws out, I would say you probably have bigger problems. I like the Sparco units you posted quite a bit but I'm in the same boat with you when you say "I just don't like them." I think they are a necessity with an aftermarket hood though unfortunately!

I was thinking about having the black Shelby pins powdercoated to match VB as much as possible.
