Change Grill/Fog Lights
Change Grill/Fog Lights
I have a 2014 GT was thinking about moving the fog lights to the lower bumper, kit available from Ford, and changing the grill to the Boss 302 grill, available from Ford . Has anyone done this?? How difficult is the project??
Will the dealer do this project
Will the dealer do this project
You won't be able to use the stock LED foglights in the bumber, they are too big (unless you come up with your own custom housing for them). The Pony and Cali special foglights are a standard bulb (I believe), so you loose the LED's (you can get an HID kit for the bumper fogs). The grille will pull right out from the front of the car with a good yank. If I remember correctly though, you would need to remove the front clip to get the OEM foglight bracket out as it is mounted to the inside of the front bumber. Roush makes an interesting kit for relocating fogs to the bumper, but it is like $300-$400 and requires cutting the front bumber.
dealer will do it but will be priceyyy.. just purchase boss 302 grille n have it installed by any of ur local shops.. wont be more than 1 hr worth of work. i dd change out stock gt grille to boss 302 grille for del the fog lights..
Ive cut both my front and rear bumper covers ... i have the CDC GT500 style upper grille, and the roush lower grill delete.. I just purchased the roush fog kit and will be installing that within the next few weeks
ditto, pics please. I know I'm gonna switch to the Roush grilles/fogs eventually, and i have a feeling I should buy them while they're available.
Then again the fiancee and I have already discussed that by next summer we will be looking at possibly finding a 13-14 Shelby Vert, a RS3 Vert or another form of new convertible.
