Car got a nosejob today.. 03 grilles and splitter.

Got my upper grille last week and installed one day at lunch.
Then I took out my stock lower grill and modified it.
today my splitter showed up, so I threw that on at lunch...

I removed the grille, then cut within 1/4" of the edge all the way around with a 4.5" cutoff wheel on a grinder. then used a diegrinder and got it close to the edge, then spent a couple hours with a file to smooth it out, but then the back edge had a stepped pattern that alternated with the honeycomb, and it was not deep enough. It didnt look good. So I took a piece of of kydex like material that I was able to heat form and molded a new insert to fit into the lower grille surround to extend it 3" Now I am OK with it.

I had that same idea with the lower grille. I gave up half way through. It is definitely a lot of work and you need to have the right set of tools, which I did not. Looks sweet. I just went with the AM Billet lower. Good job.
