Boss shift knob, boot and Steeda shift bracket-image-1000169145.jpg

I installed the boss shift **** and 401a boot in my car. I also put the Steeda shift bracket in my car with the red insert.

I wanted to share my impression of if. The shifter bracket alone was a great addition for me. I actually liked the way my stock shifter felt. I didn't want anything shorter or louder. I did notice that when I drive it really aggressively I would have a gap between 1st and 2nd. I read that the bracket would help this.

It fixed the problem and the shifts feel smoother in general. This could be placebo effect but I really like the feel.

As far as the shift ****, I just wanted my car to have a more singular style. The shift **** in the 400a is a nice modern style ****. My interior looks very old fashioned to me, that's why I picked the 400a interior. I think the boss **** looks like it belongs.

As far as the install, everything went smoothly except pulling out the factory shift boot. It didn't want come out. Other than that, it was a snap and I love the look.

Thanks for the kind comments. Most of what I read is about how horrible the stock shifter is. I figured I'd post for folks that like the stock shifter and want it a little better.

I couldn't afford a boss but I could afford the shift ****.

From my research, you, me, and one other person agree on this. Lol.

Thank you for the nice comments. This site is full of many kind and supportive people. I appreciate it. I came from an Audi forum and there wasn't this type of community feeling. Things again!
