Boss replica
As for the rest of the unasked for debate, My personal feel (and it's just that, personal) would be to do stripes in whatever style you want, but just skip putting text/badging on it that's deceptive (I'd feel the same way about putting "Boss" badges on a 2010+ 5.0L V8) My own car has enough power to put the hurt on most non-blown GT's, and I'm running the GT500 front bumper simply because I like the style of it, but you won't find a Cobra emblem or Shelby logo anywhere on the car, because doing that would bother me. In the end though, it's your car, and you should do whatever seems best to you, and will make you happy.
Even 300+ is a lot for a young driver, but I agree 400+ would be a disaster just looking for a place to happen.

when mommy and daddy bought you a brand new car without a dime out of your pocket?
I said no one laughs in my face about my car, because I'm 16 and they know my car is way better than the POS cars they were rollin' in as a kid. I was talking about adults, not kids my age.
For a kid, any car is a great car, as long as it has wheels and gets you from Point A to Point B. I never make fun of any kid my age for the car they drive, hell most people at school don't even know I have a Mustang, I rarely talk about it. Actually, I don't even like talking about my car at school, cus I know it makes some of my friends think I am talking down to them.
I like to keep to myself, don't brag or boast about what I drive, especially when Mom and Dad bought it for me.

if i put the boss Laguna Seca Package rear seat delete and brace in my v6 pp car would i be clowned by you real mustang hard core fanitics like you are knocking this kid for his mods.and if it becomes available will you gt guys opt for it even though its for the boss 302 laguna.i bet so.it wont make our cars faster maybe 10 lbs ligher.but it will look cool just like the vision of (natecydobleg) has for his boss replica.if any of you ever seen a older boss over the years it was probally a fake anyway. a very large % was wrecked or turned into race cars that looked nothing liked it did when it rolled off the floor.

Also, hate to say it, but EVERY Boss Mustang you have seen for the past 40+ years has been a fake, so whats the big deal?
To me the word Boss means 'like a Boss' not Boss Parnelli Jones, that's why I got my car. I guess the word Boss means two totally different things to old people and us kids.

Honestly I'm pretty sure most of the posters were fine with what the OP's idea was, as long as he didn't put Boss or Boss 302 on it. It really doesn't matter either way, if he wants to he's going to. He said something about putting Boss 2xx, don't remember the number off the top of my head, which I personally think would be fine. But to anyone who mods their car how they want it and don't care what others think, don't ***** when they point it out and laugh at you. They have just as much of a right to say it's retarded as you do to put the stuff on your car.

I've commented on similar threads before and this has always been my stance. Liking a colour scheme or such is fine, but certain cues where imitation turns to deception are a nono. Unless you've got the chops to back it up.
Personal anecdote. My first car was a '72 Gran Torino Sport that I paid for because the engine was toast, I spent the better part of my spare time and earned money rebuilding and building up a new engine.
I was pretty damned proud of my car, she was pretty fast and probably more car than I'd allow my kid in this day.
At any rate, one night a pal and I are out cruising, came up to a light where a late '80s "Mustang GT" 5.0L is sitting. My bud starts ranting "That's that guy! That's THAT guy!" I realized what he was talking about. My buddy worked at an oil change place, and the guy in the Mustang was a customer. The Mustang wasn't a 5.0L' it was a four-banger with all of the GT body-cladding right down to the 5.0 badges.
So we're sitting at the light, I start getting on the throttle lighting up the tires, the guy's ignoring us sinking lower and lower. Light turns green, we peel off and wait at the next light the guy pulls up again. Down goes the window, "C'mon lets go Mr 5point OH!" he holds up 4 fingers and mouths "It's only got a 4" We peel off laughing at him.
The point I'm trying to make is that if you're going to advertise that you've got a "Boss" be prepared, there are going to be a$$holes like me (or like how I was) who are going to call you on it.
But it's your money.

Had to google parnelli jones, that dude is like from last century haha
Now that I understand where that term comes from, I see no reason not to put boss, when the meaning because it looks like the boss of the road (from documentary)
its just if I put 302 would be misleading which I won't do from the beginning anyways
