Anyone change Pedestal Spolier to GT500 spoiler.

Just looking for some advice on this. I want to change my CS pedestal spolier to a GT500. I know there are 8 holes drilled for my PS and only 4 for the GT500. But I was curious how/where the holes are after the swap. Are they under the GT500 so just need to be sealed or are they exposed and need to be body filled?

Thanks.

I'm going to do it but it will have to wait to spring as we have snow and car is tucked away. I don't know what way i'll go yet, weld/fill holes or get another trunk lid.

They are definitely exposed by about an inch and a half. But with that being said I used 4 carriage screws with nuts to fill the holes. First I sanded the heads of the screws down to remove the galvanized coating and the numbers on the tops. Then I primered and painted them flat black. This is only a temporary solution. I am going to be getting some painting done eventually and when I do I will have them repaired. Its still a better look with the GT500 for sure. Totally worth the swap in my opinion. I also cut some small rubber seals to prevent leakage. So far so good. No leaks and the car has seen some pretty signifigant rain recently.

Do u think A body shop can fill and paint and match the color perfectly?!

I just hate the idea of having them need
To sand the original paint around the holes. I don't like anything not factory with the paint...

Anyone know body work and can answer that? And know approximate cost??

They won't be able to just fill and paint the holes. They will need to spray the whole lid to achieve a quality finish.
