almost finished! wheels, brakes, springs done!

I only have the car on a two year lease, so mods are going to be minimal and resellable. I go through cars quickly.

It wasn't an easy round of mods.
First, I ordered a two tone wheel from Tire Rack, same wheel as what I went with, but with their recommended 255 tires. The tires were narrower than the wheel and didn't look right, and I didn't like the two tone. Sent them back and reordered these.

2nd, one of the front Brembo brakes that I ordered from the dealer was apparently dropped in shipment and the hole that the banjo bolt goes in was flattened out, so I had to get a replacement. I noticed this after I had the brakes stripped off the car, so it added two days to the process.

In the end, I think it was worth it.

First round,
Brembo front caliper upgrade, custom powdercoated by me (I do this professionally, don't try at home!).
Sport Muscle 20x10" wheels
Sumitomo 275/35-20 tires
BMR Panhard bar
H&R springs.

the only other thing I'm going to do to it is Corsa axle-back.[/img]

Love the wheels, they look like wheels that Hurst has. I passed on them as i didn't want anything bigger than 19s

thanks! This was the first version I ordered, but they didn't really work for us

btw, both versions are on clearance at Tire Rack right now. I think they are around 170 per wheel, but I'm not sure because I have a wholesale account with them.

Why spend the money on a car you have to turn in, will you look to keep it?

because its fun. In the past when I have gotten a new car, my intention was to keep it for a long time. However, the reality is that I never keep them more than a year or two. Two exceptions, my 2005 C6 corvette that I had for 4 years, and my 2009 370z that I will probably never sell, since I wrecked it on the track, hit a deer with , and have now turned it into a dedicated racecar. I've gone through about 36 cars in the last 30 years, in fact, getting married was an excuse to get two new ones a year instead of one.

I finally decided not to fool myself. whether I buy or lease, I'm getting rid of it soon enough, so I decided a fixed cost is better than playing the odds with trade in values.

Still, I can't leave anything stock, do my own labor and will probably be able to sell everything for half of what I paid for it all, then move on to the next project.

Sounds like you have a plan, end of the day I have a hard time driving a stock car also. Well enjoy as it sounds like you do lol

Like what you have done so far.. usually not a fan of 20inch wheels, but they fit rather nicely.

Like the rims. I had thought about those but felt like they almost looked too much like the factory wheels offered on the first gen S197.

they are pretty close, but the size makes up for it, and the price was right.
