alcoa tire size

What is the largest tire I can put on the alcoa wheels 20x9 and 20x10 without having any rubbing issues or anything like that.

I run 295x30r20 on the rear with no problems but I hear of people running tires as wide as 315's with the proper sized wheel

See some have told me 285 is the largest that can go on the rear.

What do you run on the front? Is it the 20x9 wheel

I think 295 is the biggest that will fit on a 10" rim on the back, im not sure about the front but maybe you can get a 275 on it, not 100% sure on that though.

I ran 295 30 20 on my 9 inch rims. Some say thats to much but I never had any problems with them. I would go 295/35/20 all day long on a 10 inch rim.

So far I have confirmed 265/35 and 285/35 will work fine. I need someone who has done it to confirm 275/35 and 295/35

Why does it look wrong?

It's a ratio. The wider the tire the taller the sidewall. The sidewalk may actually be bigger. On a 30 compared to a 35.

I don't get why it's wrong.

http://www.1010tires.com/TireSizeCalculator.asp

I've been using that ^^^ size calculator for years and love it ... you punch in the tire size and other sizes you wanna compare to the first size, and it tells you what the different sizes will do to your speedometer, how the heights will be, which size rims the tires will fit on, and it even shows some tires available in those sizes.

I'd never buy tires from there since they seem way overpriced, but I love that calculator ... lol

EDIT: using that calculator, it looks like you could easily do 255/35R20 / 295/30R20 if trying to fit the tires on 9" and 10" wide wheels, respectively.

If working with some wider wheels, I'd go 275/35R20 and 315/30R20 myself ... I just love the 305+ sizes ...

255-35-20 and 295-30-20
the side wall on the rear looks shorter than the front tires and it is.

it wasn't an attach on you Nick by any means it was really hard to find the width and side wall height i wanted. I settled for what I have now although I wanted a wider tire but I couldn't find what I want in a set of tires. I think I will go with a mismatched next time to get the side wall and width I want in a tire

I have 295/35/19 on the rear

I went 245/40/19 in front I think

245 is kind of narrower but the key is I didn't want the back tire diameter smaller than the front

But you're right to each his own.
