Forgot to snap a picture of mine this morning but it can be seen on any of the photos online and I can get one later.. On the CDC Grille where the bars are on either side of the wide opening there is a metal mesh behind them. But it's only halfway on one side. Anybody know why?

 

I'm assuming it's only halfway on the driver side and that would be to keep the air inlet to the airbox free from obstruction.

 

Ah yes. It seems you would be correct. I didn't even notice the stock one is open on one side and closed on the other. Question answered. Carry on!
