I love the 10-12 front but i want to swap my rear end so bad but unfortunately i cant do a straight swap with someone since 13-14 uses oxford white and my 12 has performance white. The gap under my tailights (picked up a set of 13-14's) is settin my ocd off lol

2013s are Performance White. 2014s are Oxford White...just FYI.

Here are the parts and pictures I have compiled. I am using the Tasca Parts website, you can also use Autonation White Bear Lake as those sites are almost identical in price and function. I purchased my parts from Autonation, I bought the bumper and hood local but all the rest came from Autonation. Great customer service and awesome prices. Tasca has great prices as well. Either one will be perfect to use. For anyone local to Houston Tx there is an Autonation dealership there as well and they will match the internet prices for White Bear Lake and you can avoid shipping costs. For you gents wanting to swap from teh 13-14 to the 10-12 you need to find a car that has the HID headlights. There are mounting tabs on the 10-12 headlights that hold the upper portion of the bumper. You wont be able to mount the bumper without these so you will have to swap everything including headlight or buy some aftermarket (Raxiom) headlights that support the HID's. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. This will turn most guys off from this swap as most love the 13-14 headlights. And for you 10-12 guys converting you will have to cut the tabs off your headlights for the 13-14 bumper to fit. So get a dremel and get to cutting. Pics below.

Bumper Cover: DR3Z17D957ABPTM. Basic GT bumper (same on all models except the GT500). No panels or inserts for the fog lights. Those can be found on Ebay or the websites above. I did not need them since they were already in the bumper I purchased locally along with the grills.
Grill Reinforcement: DR3Z8A200AA. You have to have this to mount aftermarket or factory grills. Also the foglights mount to this. This people snaps to the back of the upper part of the bumper and then the grill snaps to this piece.
Closure Panel: DR3Z8C371A. This holds the entire top portion of the bumper to the radiator support. If you don't have this piece nothing lines up. You have to drill 2 holes in your upper radiator support for this to mount properly. I lined everything up and drill 2 small pilot holes. There are 2 small holes on either side of the panel where the tabs are. The pilot holes kept my 11/32nds drill bit from "walking" as I drilled the actual holes. After that everything snapped into place and the lower portion mounts to the End Covers. This is the scariest part of the conversion but it really isn't that bad.
End Covers Left and Right: (Right) DR3Z8C391B (Left) DR3Z8C391A. The lower portion of the Closure Panel mounts to these, they are mounted to the vertical supports on the radiator support on either side of the radiator.
Splitter and Lower Shield:Regular GT Splitter, DR3Z17D957AA. If you get this one you will need this lower shield, DR3Z17626B.
If you decide to get the Boss-GT/CS Splitter, DR3Z17626BA (expensive) you will need this lower shield, BR3Z17626A.
Upper Shield: DR3Z8C291AA.
You should not need the Absorber or the Impact bar if you are doing a direct swap, but if you need the part numbers for the 13-14 here they are.
Absorber: DR3Z17C882A
Impact Bar: BR3Z17757B
Pictures and descriptions below:
Comparison of the Lower Shields:
Radiator Covers: Driver side need holes marked and drilled, passenger must be trimmed for the End Cover to mount.
Holes that are already behind the radiator cover. The End Covers have tabs that line up perfectly with these holes and one of the holes is for a bolt that holds the end cover.
End Covers Mounted:
Hole for the top of the Closure Panel.
Tab on the Closure Panel that snaps into the hole you drilled.
Closure Panel Mounted. Snaps up top into the holes you drilled and bolts to the End Covers underneath, there are also alignment pins that sit on the end covers.
Grill Reinforcement mounted to the backside of the bumper cover.
Tabs on the headlights that have to be cut.
Ouch! I hate cutting stuff.
I hope all this helps. I can answer any questions you have. This will not be for the faint of heart but it really wasn't that bad. I freaking love it! Can't wait till its all painted and back on the road again!
Everything test fitted and ready to head to the body shop! (please excuse the mess, dogs tore up my trash because my son left the bag outside on the ground instead of in the can, he was in the process of picking it all up as I was working)

Hi RobDis.
Thank you first of all for also giving info for the guys converting from 2014 to 2012 front fascias. I have a question regarding your comment below:

You say you need to find a car with HIDs because of the mounting tabs. Isn't there any way to modify it in order mount the 2012 bumper? I saw couple examples of people fitting 2013 HID headlights onto their 2012 Mustangs with stock bumpers.
I would think if it would be impossible to mount the bumper 2013 HIDs wouldn't fit to 2012 Mustangs either. Did you or anyone put more thought to this?
Thanks,

This is a very interesting topic as some people said, instead of changing to a newer model, people choose to covert backwards. I mean most people can agree one of the best Mustang designs were in 1960s, some designs are timeless. Therefore I don't even see changing my 2014 front fascia to 2012 as going back but more like a mod for better looks. We are even lucky that we can do the conversion using factory parts.
I know this may sound like a crazy project to many but my reason to convert from 2014 to 2012 is the same reason I fell in love with S197 Mustangs at first place - the bulging power dome hood that came in with 2010 model. To me on the exterior it looks more sophisticated and long while curving over the grille like old classics (2014 hood makes the nose look shorter than it is as well) but more importantly when I sit in the car I wanna see that power dome in the middle. I just find it silly that Ford changed that aggressive hood to a flat one like 2005 Mustang. Now they came to terms and brought back the power dome for 2015. Another reason is as many people discussed on other forums, the big fat nose of 2013-2014 mustangs. Besides the smiley face caused by the wide-mouth bumper that I'm also changing, in my opinion 2014 front looks good at specific angles only; like from the side and head on but when you look from a corner view that nose is just... It looked good on Shelbys but with the buried smaller fogs it just doesn't work. And I love the fogs on Mustangs and believe they make Mustang such a unique and special car. They were perfectly pronounced on the 2012 model, with the shark style nose it all came together perfectly. 2010-2012 Mustang GTs look elegant from every angle looking at the front.
I just can see that with the facelift from 2012 to 2013 Ford followed the same direction like they did from 1968 to 1969 mustang. And I always prefer the tidy and elegant nose of 68 vs the fat 69. 1969 vs 1968
In summary I see this mod as putting together the best parts of 2010-2014 Mustangs to create the ideal mustang with 12' shark nose, 14' interior and rear taillights.
-------------------------------- o --------------------------------
Back to the topic, thank you Lexion and Bones for the ideas, I'm now confident that I can find a way to fit the 12' bumper to 14'. (I'm also interested in CS lower valance for 12' bumper. again an OEM part that looks factory and aggressive)
Another issue I read from that 1 article was that 13-14' HID fog lights with huge heat sinks not fitting the thinner 12' grille. I found that the halogen vs HID fog light dimensions are the same (the 14' grille makes HIDs look smaller) Did anyone try fitting the HID fogs to their older models? Is there a way around to fit them like HID headlights?
Thanks everyone,
