2013-14 Fog Light Kit, GT/CS Style

I did a factory fog light delete when I changed grilles on my base GT and have been searching for an alternative fog light option. I'm wondering if anyone has used this kit and how they liked or disliked it. Looks to be all plug and play.

If there is a similar or better performing kit out there, somebody please point me in the right direction! Thanks

That kit is way pricey. I bought the actual ford kit off eBay for way less. There will be some cutting of the existing wires to splice in the new lights. I found it not to be that difficult.

Thanks for the info Sickwitit.

I didn’t know that Ford is (now) selling them in kit form under part no: DR3Z-15200-AA and welcome to TMS!

I also used the kit that Sickwitit posted, good kit and had no issues with it.

I know you've already ordered it, but the only issue I have had with it is its color and brightness. The stock HID headlights are way brighter and whiter than these fogs since they are a normal halogen bulb and kind of yellowish. I also swapped the GT/CS grilles but I retained the stock fogs as well. only downside has been the halogens.

What grilles did you order? How did you install and keep the stock lights?

Looks great.

Hmmm, that’s interesting Jose. This is something I had not thought about and if the Ford fog light kit I ordered proves to be unsatisfactory, then I might try the Starkey HID’s as a possible solution/upgrade.

I still have my original OEM fog lights, but mounting them behind my Roush grille just doesn’t visually work for me at the present.

I got them through Levit Town Ford here:

I bought the California Special Upper and Lower Grilles. You can find my install here:

I've got a set of those fog lights off my car I'd be willing to sell if interested.

Fog lights, brackets, and bumper inserts.

I bought the same ford kit DR3Z-15200-AA from my local dealer for $119.00 and installed the 35 watt HID kit with 4500k bulbs from DDM tuning for $32.00. It's pretty much a match for the HID headlights and looks awesome.

I am planning on doing this exact swap. My only hesitation has been finding the time to do it with work and me moving in a couple weeks.

Could you post a pic to see the color comparison to the headlights?

Your factory HID bulbs will be 4300K and a 4300K HID conversion kit will be a near-perfect match for the fogs

Make sure you are using an HID relay, otherwise you may damage your factory electronics

Hi Nick,

have been looking at your products - plan to call soon to discuss. But, do you offer a light that would go into the CS fogs that would be a match to the HID's from a color standpoint? XML2 in cool white or perhaps XP80? Any mods required for these?

I will be putting the CS fog kit on, when I put on the Roush upper and lower grills that are sitting the closet at the moment. So, will loose the factory fogs, and install these in the lower bumper.

For those converting to the CS lower fogs that want plug-n-play wiring, we now sell the wiring adapters separately:

http://www.starkey-products.com/must...-h11-2013-2014

The Ford wiring included with the DR3Z-15200-AA kit is adequate, but some of our customers have said they don't want to cut factory wiring. Its also nice to have the option of returning the car to stock form in the future if needed.
