I hadn't said anything to him since I requested MY thread be closed from his crap. I had let it go. The personal swipe isn't needed. He made it personal. I've been around for some time on this forum and have not had any issues with anyone but this guy. I'm not the only one either

There was no personal swipe. I think you're just a very sensitive individual. You're taking it personal because you have something I don't like. I wouldn't harass you every time you told someone you hated rtr spoilers. Even though I have one. Feel free to use the ignore feature if my opinions are too much for you.

I never said I hated RTR spoilers and have never gone on and on and on about it. If I said anything about the RTR spoiler it would have been that it isn't for me and left it at that.

I'm not a very sensitive person either. I deal with people like you on a daily basis without issue. You're overly opinionated and a nag to the point you come off as a bully.

It is a personal swipe since you mention it all the time and I am the only one here that has done that stripe with GT/TP. I get compliments all the time on it so your opinion is in the minority...which doesn't surprise me.

My opinion doesn't matter at all. Which is why I don't understand why you take offense to it. I wouldn't say my opinion is in the minority though. I mean, if people liked it so much, perhaps there would be more than one gt-tp rocker panel out there. And if you deal with "people like me" for a living, I would have thought that you would be able to not take things so personally.

In the end, we all have different taste. It's all good.

What makes this a "good debate"? A "good debate" would be a discussion of what brakes work best, or the feasibility of transplanting an old-school carburated crate nmotor into a 2010+ V6 car.

Yeah, it was. You start talkin' smack about a guy's car, and it immediately becomes personal.

Call it what you will. To me, sharing disliking and using what I don't like as reference when talking to other people is nothing personal. I gave a guy advice about what rocker panels to get, and gave my personal opinion that things like boss light, gt-tp and other characters like that on rocker panels are tacky. That's all. And then this guy started attacking me about it, posting rude comments on all of my threads ect.

I gave you my opinion on your Shelby emblems on your base model v6. Is that talking smack? If someone ever made a thread asking about emblems, I would tell them that putting Shelby emblems on a v6 is tacky in my opinion. So that's a personal swipe to you?

Considering his and other cars have those emblems and similar appearance mods, in effect you?re calling their car tacky. So yea that would be a personnal swipe

It's not what you say, it's how you say it. If you delivered it that way face-to-face, don't be surprised if someone eventually takes a swing at you.

I personally prefer to not say anything if I don't like something, and more often than not, I don't say anything even if I do like it. You'd be doing well to adopt that strategy yourself.

Finally, SAI puts SHELBY on V6 cars. Are they being tacky, or is the fact that someone is willing to drop $10k+ for $3k worth of aftermarket mods kinda lift the veil of tackiness that the SHELBY nameplate adds? I've put over $13k into my car, and did most of the grunt work myself. Why shouldn't I be able to do the same thing? (And no, I'm not inviting a response - it was a rhetorical question).

If you want to discuss the finer points of inappropriate badging, start a thread for it (I can guarantee you'll get the participation you desire), but don't crap up another guys thread because his choice of mods somehow offends your overly-delicate sensibilities.

Two opposite opinions makes a good debate, it doesn't matter the subject.

Granted, but seeing as how it's crapping up this thread, I think it isn't one. The moderators should just create a thread for this topic, and make it a sticky...

I don't understand why you and the other guy keep trying to justify why you did the mods you did. It doesn't matter who agree's with you, disagrees, or what car anyone makes...it still doesn't change MY opinion or taste, and your trying to convince me that my opinion must be wrong.

It's natural to get defensive when someone disapproves of your hard work or money spent, but this is typically the behavior of someone who was insecure with the work to begin with. I'm sure at some point, you've questioned the fact that you dumped 13k into a 23k car and will never see a ROI. Your 36k car is probably worth 18k right now.

Haha +1. I know the thread got hijacked but this is funny. I used to get hyped up over this, now I know what forums are for.

I'm not in it for the ROI. I guess that's the line that separates real car guys with mere owners. I have plans to put about $15-20k more into it, and even when you don't consider the cost, the plans themselves would make you raise an eyebrow and ask, "what the f*ck for?" People are always asking why I don't just get an actual Shelby and call it a day. If I have to explain, you won't understand.

Anytime you wonder why people feel that you come off as a D-bag and an instigator, go back and read the post above, the answer is there in black and white. Sometimes posts on a forum come across much differently that in real life, that may be the case here, but it sure seems to happen a lot with you toward a few people on here.

There are plenty of posts with you bashing my car because I shared an opinion about yours. So does that make you a hypocrite?

Bashing?? No, I stated I didn't like something and then left it alone. You go on and on and on about it and make it a point to bring it up in other peoples post. I commented on yours.... if you remember correctly.... an opinion BECAUSE you continued to bash my stripes and the rear tint the other member posted info on. You continued to bash that guy till you just made yourself out to look like an internet wanna-be tough guy. You were ridiculous with it. You stated your opinion so many different times it took over his thread. I called you out on that and in return you followed me around like a child and commented on anything I was posting and continued to slam my car.

You've heard this from others as well.. I know because I have seen it and yet you continue to be a **** nag
