2010 Spoiler install question

Last year I purchased a 2010 GT with the electronics package from dealer stock that did not include the factory backup camera. I finally located and purchased a rear spoiler with the camera in the matching color for my car.

I work in electronics and can handle the connections, running the wires etc. I know the navigation units are locked and have purchased a Lock-Pick to take care of that problem. But I do have one question.

Where can I get the foam tape that seals the spoiler to the trunk lid. The tape is mostly missing from the spoiler/camera that I will be installing.

Thanks for any help

The screen for the rear camera is in the rearview mirror. So you may not have to fool with the navigation.

It's just 3M automotive tape, the stuff that comes with the red peel-off backing, at least for the entire perimeter. There may be some actual stick-on foam sections, like near the opening where the camera cable/harness goes into the spoiler, but likely those are still attached to your spoiler, and still intact. You should be able to pick up the 3M tape at any autoparts supply store, like Advanced Automotive, Discount Automotive, PEP Boys, NAPA, etc. I have experience removing the base spoiler from a 2011 Mustang, which I replaced with an OE pedestal spoiler.

Only if you don't have NAV. If you have NAV it displays on that screen.

Actually when you have the electronics package with the nav it is on the nav screen.

Thanks for the replies. I once you confirmed that I just need the 3m red tape I found it at Amazon and it will be delivered tomorrow.

Next I just have to make a run to the dealer to get a print out of the color coding for the camera harness. I have one for the camera used with the rear-view mirror display but none of the wires match for the camera that I received.

It will be worth it. I love the option much more than I thought I would when I ordered it.

Thanks for the pdf.

I had page one but not page 2. I'll check my camera again when I get home but I am pretty sure I have the 2 black/violet wires, one white green, another white/something, the red and a blue.

So by process of elimination the other white must be white/viloet and the blue is the unmarked shield.
