How hard is it to take off The OEM grille?? What are the steps needed to do so?

Thanks

Just went through this to do my tow ring. Not too hard. Poke around a bit for a video. This is on a 2013

Yeah I saw that video but apparently the seller of this grille told me to "yank and pull" my current one and install the new one? Sounds a little...stone age to me lol

This seems like too much work too as I've seen people say you can take the grille off and put a new one in since it's held by clips?

I'm just curious to see anyone else's input on this.

Yea, wouldn't be yanking and pulling.

I do think you can get to the clips if you remove the air deflector (the piece under the car between the splitter and the cover you remove to change the oil)

Once you remove that you can see the clips ( looking forward over the splitter ) on the backside of the grill.

There are a total of 4 screws in the front and 5 on the back (7mm socket) - might be worth taking a look.

I intend to try this route when I install my splitter as I need to mount the splitter support/turnbuckles behind the lower grill.

All Seriousness, my 2010 Pony Package, you stuck your fingers through the holes as far to the left and right that you could and yanked it out, and then it pushed in and snapped it back in

Pull it straight out the front.
Put some tape on the bumper so it doesn.t get scratched.

Wasn't there a youtube video showing that "yank" procedure?

I've looked for it a few times but can't seem to find it ...

Ouch. Hard (and costly) lesson learned. Thanks for letting us know though. Hope this site can help you out on future mods.

LMAO .... no, that definitely wasn't it ...

There was a video linked on a thread which showed a guy grabbing the grille from both ends and just pulling it off the car ... I even showed the video to my G/F ... lol

I'm sorry, I'm confused - a 2013 GT grill (with the fogs) will or will not fit onto a 2013 V6? Has anyone done this to get the fogs (and the GT "look")?
