20" Wheels/Tire Sizes

I have narrowed down my wheel choices to either the Saleen Black Chrome or Roush Hyper Black (leaning towards Saleen though). These are both 20" wheels. I'd rather stay with 19's but can't find anything I like as well as these. Anyone have any experience with running 20's on a lowered vehicle? I plan to do Steeda sports which lower 1" up front and 1.25" in the back. I have an opportunity to get a good price on tires through work so I'm hoping to figure out what sizes will work well (no rubbing...).

When Saleen sells a set with tires they do 275/35-20 up front and 275/40-20 in the rear. Anyone know if you could do 275/40-20 all around or is that too big for the front?

275/40 is going to be too big up front. I have 275/35 all around on 20x9.5 wheels and I'm lowered on Steeda sports. No problems at all.

I used this tire size calculator when I was deciding on tires.

It depends on how low your car is. I have the SR springs and 20" wheels with 255/35 and there is about an inch gap all around. IMO if you aren't going wider on the rears I would keep the same size tire all around so you can rotate them. Those 275/35 tires aren't cheap. Get the most our them. Now if you are going 285 or 295 that's a different story.

I have 20's on my '13 GT. American Racing Nova wheels 20x10 on the rear with 295/30/20 tires and 20x8.5 on front with 255/35/20 tires. The car is lowered using an Eibach Pro kit.

The gaps are much improved over stock and I have no issues with rubbing.

Glad to hear from someone with the same springs I'm likely going with. Tire size calculator is very handy. Thanks.

I'm on 20" wheels and pretty low with coil overs. I run 275/30 and 315/35 and no rubbing. I do plan to change them to 265/35 in the front since there is a slight bulge on my 9" wheel and run 305/30 in the rear to reduce the wheel height down to 27.2" vice 28.7". Plus it'll look lower.
