Hi guys I have a tt 3.7 mustang I'm building and I need to know if the wheels I'm wanting to get are going to give me any problems with rubbing. The offset is +20. Will it poke out past the fender. Do o need to roll my Fenders. The wheels I'm planing to get are some buy xxr, the xxr 527D the front being 18x9.0 and the back being 18x10.5, front and back have +20 offset. I wanna know if I need to get spacers or if I need to get something different. I'm trying to go for the wheels found on the supersnake. The xxr wheels have that big lip in the back as these do and a small lip in the front.
The correct offset depends on the width of the wheel and I am not sure of the exact numbers, but I think 20 sounds a little low but probably about right for those width wheels. I'm pretty sure the Super Snake has the same fenders and spindles as every other S197 Mustang, so if they fit on the Super Snake they should fit on all the others but I am not positive about that.
One thing for sure, is you do NOT want spacers -- that will push the wheels out farther, not bring then in.
If you go by Online Tire the Mustang needs a +35 on the 18X9
The wheels on my car are front 19X9 +42, Rear 19X10 +47.5
Your 18X10 will stick our 27mm (1.1 inches) farther out than what mine are in that picture below according to my online Offset Calculator and the front will be 22mm (almost 7/8ths of an inch). To me that is a little more than a roll, that is an offroad fender flare.
