Was little upset since not much down, but later on realized it was a pretty good price. Most cars in the same condition were asking for about 2.2k.
The sticker was 18,888 and you offered 1,700? I bet they gave you a pretty odd look after that.

My order for a Ruby Red 2014 V6 Premium Convertible with automatic is going in today. I ordered the standard setup (didn't want the larger diameter and more expensive to replace tires) with the security package and the comfort package. I went through TrueCar. The MSRP was $34,930, the TrueCar Target Price was $31,857, and my price from the dealer was $31,565. The out the door total was $35,116. I just printed my TrueCar quote and took it with me to the dealer and there was no hassle.

Good idea. I just emailed about 5 of them and asked what the best price was. Couldn't find better than $300 below invoice and I had a Z plan I could have used. Hopefully the incentives will be $1K or more early in the year. (like next month)

Just got my 2013 V6 base
Gotta Have it Green
Exterior Appearance Package
Automatic

Sticker was around $24,995, and I paid $21,990 thanks to a family friend who happened to be the marketing manager for four different dealerships including a Ford dealer. Been waiting to get my Mustang for a LOOONG time. (Check out my join date!) I finally have the means and can comfortably enjoy my new baby. I love her.

Got my 2011 V6 manual yesterday. Went to a ford dealer and the price was approx 17k, dealer added fees and stuff to up it some and I said I was paying cash and wasn't going to pay that (veh has some miles on it). After he went away (to go tell his boss's) and came back he showed me the MSRP was 22k and they originally had it for 19k (it's been on the lot for a bit and in Alaska people don't buy Ponys in the winter).

Told him I'd pay 15400 cash and that was it. He told me that I could always finance the rest and I said no. My wife was wondering how I kept my composure because I wanted the stang so badly. He left again and was gone for like 15 mins. He came back and I was getting ready to stand up and he said "Now are you going to let something so little as 264 dollars keep you from walking out of here with a brand new car?" .

So yea. Originally the vehicle was 19k, they offered 17k, paid 15.6k cash and now I'm the proud owner of a 2011 stang .

I've talked I several dealers before (when looking for a Stang) and the problem is in Alaska the muscle cars aren't driven much in the winter and they don't sell well (while its fine to have a rear wheel car up here in the winter, most people buying vehicles in the winter want all wheel or 4 wheel drive). They don't like to take them for trade ins during the winter months because they just sit on the lot and lose value. In the summer time they sell very well and they jack up the prices.

The extra money I was charged was to pay some fees. They offered me other things like road side assistance but I turned them down, as they were talking about adding up to 5k to the price lol.

But yea, I lucked out. She drives Great.
