V6 Grille Mod

So...while I'm waiting for my car to arrive I've been thinking about the stock grille. It looks ok as is, except for most of the honeycomb being blocked.

I'm thinking about grabbing the dremel and opening up all those sections. Anyone know if its ok to open all that up? No bumper supports or other ugliness will show?

I think you'd have a hard time doing that and keeping it looking clean.

You can find aftermarket grilles for a couple hundred bucks. I'd hold off on modding the factory grille and save your pennies.

I can do the work, thats not a worry. Spend all day using one for detail work. It'd take a while but thats not a concern.

well i put a gt500 front end on mine and its grille is pretty much completely open. i noticed much cooler intake temps since the intake duct is on the left side right behind the grille so it would probably help with performance a little but dont expect a lot of power difference.

I'm doing it mostly for looks, not power gains...although I certainly won't complain if there are any.

Although the more I look the more I'm finding grilles around the $150 range...perhaps if I can find a clean looking one with free shipping it might be worth it in that price range.
