The hybrid tune is supposed to be a street and race tune combined since some guys like the street response but the peak power from the race tune. In essence, the race and hybrid tunes are identical except for the drive by wire throttle response. What that means is you get more throttle earlier when you press the accelerator with the hybrid than the race tune. I prefer to feel power increase all the way through pushing the throttle vs just the first 1/4 or half, so I used to drive with the Bama race tune until I retired it and replaced it with the superior MPT tune.

 

Yeah the tuner doesn't care who provides the tune file, it just cares which car you're trying to load it on.
