Thumbs up Steeda Tune installed

Thanks!!! Gus. I got to talk to Gus at Steeda last week about a more mellow everyday tune. The Evolution Tune i have is Great!!! but i feel it is a little harsh for everyday use. So Gus had a mellow everyday Tune made. It feels perfect with more power than stock. I would have recieved it the next day if i haven't ordered it late on a Friday .

This is the first e-mail tune i have ever had and i messed up (blank blue screen) my SCT tuner. I called SCT customer service and they hooked into my computer and did everything for me It was really cool to watch them do everything, loading the Tune into the SCT Tuner.

So, did you just want to try a tune from another tuner instead of having evo make the new tune for you?

Sherlock investigating again I see:

Does it really matter? Sounds like the Steeda tune is working for him and he's happy, and the Evo tune can be for when he wants to run it a little hotter. Don't see a problem in that.

I just wanted to know if there was some problem he had with evo that would make him want to PAY for a new tune from another tuner when evo would update his tune for free.

I don't see a problem with that.

The Steeda Tune is the one i will run most of the time because i ordered it as a mellow Tune from Gus. I'll use the Evolution Tune when i feel like hunting Camaros . The Evolution Tune is locked but with the Steeda Tune i can adjust several things. I wasn't paying attention and set the timing at -12 degrees, talk about no power. I have it set at 0 now, it feels good but i can advance it up to two more degrees. I can set the top speed limit from something like 35 m.p.h. up to off. I set it to off I can a also set the r.p.m. limit, i set it to 7100 . I think the Tune was worth the $65 just if it only removed the top speed limiter.

Thanks for the great feedback! I am glad we were able to make you a tune for you that met your needs and expectations.

I wanted to add that David specifically asked us for something mild for day to day driveability. We normally make our automatic tunes shift very aggressively also but we can also accomodate special requests for driveability, which is our specialty.

I've PM'd several customers with 2011 5.0's on several boards including this forum who got our tunes and also had a competitors tune and they have all so far preferred our driveability over tunes from other companies. Particularly on cars with our cold air, where we have a fix for several issues that customers have expressed concerns over.

Driveability is always customer preference of course. One person's perfect tune might be to aggressive to someone else. I just wanted to let everyone know whether you want something aggressive or mild our tuners have the ability to give you exactly what you want.

This is something we don't talk about enough ourselves as we normally let our customers do the talking, but it also doesnt hurt to get the word out on what we can do.

As long as you're happy David

And everybody needs to chill and hug it out. It's an open forum and I thought it was a valid question because I wanted to know that also.

to please

I just got back from doing a couple 0 to 60 m.p.h. runs using my G-Tech. The Steeda tune is 4 to 5 tenths faster than stock. All this without the harsh banging of the gears in my automatic transmission. Which is the way i ordered it from Gus. I'm very happy with this tune and will keep it in for everyday use.

This would be a perfect tune for you European Mustang owners. You can set the top speed limiter all the way from (if i remember right) 45 m.p.h. to off. This would be great for the Autobahn a lot better than the 112 m.p.h. (a guess) factory set top speed limiter.
