Steeda Superlights/FRPP N Springs

I just purchased a 2013 V6 Performance Package in Grabber Blue last week. I have already purchased a new shifter and plan on installing that next week when it comes in. Next mod will be to springs. I am torn between the Steeda Super Lites and the FRPP N springs. I would like to get some input from others as to what they have used. I dont want a real harsh ride (had that when I had a Porsche). I know the ride will be stiffer which is fine. I just dont want to go too low as this will be a street only car. Any and all input will be appreciated.

I have similar questions about springs for my girlfriend's 2012. Are springs for the V6 similar to GTs? I have heard that other modifications are needed when installing lowering springs on a V6 such as shock and strut upgrades. Is this true?

It is my understanding that if you dont lowering too much (an inch or so) that no other mods are really needed....although it is cheaper in the long run to change the struts and shocks and add camber adjusters to take full benefit of the suspension mods since you only have to pay the labor once....but I am only doing this for looks...the car wont be tracked....I just want a little lower stance.

From the research I have done so far these two spring choices seem to be the least harsh of the ones on the market for street only applications ...and lower it about the right amount for what I am looking for. I will only be doing the springs....nothing else.

Here is what my 2010 sat like after the Vogtland .8/1.2 Springs

The ride was not bad, but I also change my Shocks and struts to Koni SRT.t's at the same time, and even with the .8 in the front I still used Camber Bolts for a little correction on the front.

If all you are doing is lowering the car, not slamming it, then you can get away with just springs. We would also recommend installing a panhard bar to re-center the rear end after lowering.

If you are going lower or want a better suspension package then you will need to start adding other pieces to the puzzle.

Our Ultra-Lite springs have a lifetime warranty and are made in the USA. Here is a video that we put together showcasing our Steeda springs.

Let me know what other questions you may have.

Best Regards,

TJ

As TJ said, I would definitely recommend the Ultralite springs for your vehicle/purposes as they have the best ride quality of our springs and provide an approximate 1.25" (F) & 1.5" (R) drop with improved handling (read: stiffer).

Let us know if we can help you with anything.

Question I have is if the GT springs would work out on the V6. I heard the Performance Package on the V6 had GT suspension, wasnt sure if it ment struts and springs as well.

Do you have the Performance Package? What year is your V6?

The GT springs will work on a V6.

This is a sticky on the 2010-2014 Mustang section:

How to see your window sticker:

Just paste your vin after these urls. Be sure to include all, including the = sign.

http://services.forddirect.fordvehic...ticker.pdf?vin=

http://fordlabels.webview.biz/webvie...icker.aspx?vin=

Once you have the copy of your window sticker, it will tell you if your Mustang left the factory with the performance package.

Oh it's not to find if I HAVE the PP, it's what makes up the PP. Like I know it has GT 500 LCAs and GT front and rear disc brakes and calipers. It's just that every time I look it up it states "Unique springs and struts" What are they? Are they parts specially made for the V6 w/ PP?

What the lowest you can go without needing an adjustable panhard bar?

let us know how much itll come out to!
I wanna lower my car but I already scrape here and there and I go really slow too so that may not be a good idea. Car already rides like a shopping cart from factory, can't imagine it getting any stiffer honestly.

Consider Boss front springs paired with the 55D rears. That would give you a 1/2" drop all around...wouldn't even really need to change shocks and struts either, but you could go FRPP/Boss or the Koni STR.Ts

Don't you not want to lower it much? And your springs aren't any shorter.

I thought there were only p and k springs. What's a N spring? Is a superlight a new steeda spring?
