Nothing against Magnaflow (I've used them on 5 previous vehicles) - They USED to have some great prices, but unless you catch a sale, they've upped the price point quite a bit the last couple years.

Right now, I was able to pick up the Borla's $50 cheaper....
Really? I guess it depends. They used to be reasonable prices. Gotta double check.

Right now I'm chasing down a lead on a guy willing to sell an ATAK catback at a steal

Amazon Magnaflow 15595 - $632.84 Amazon Magnaflow 15595 - $632.84

Amazon Borla 11793 -$582.97 Amazon Borla 11793 -$582.97

Summit Magnaflow 15595 - $664.48
Summit Borla 11793 -$582.97

I just installed a set of borla touring ab which I got from summit. The sound is perfect but I have a little drone probably caused by the spare tire well which is empty. Applying some alubutyl reduced that but didn't eliminate it.

I knew I wanted more rumble than stock, but was torn between the Ford Racing Sport vs Touring mufflers. I went with the Sport Mufflers Ford Racing M-5230-MV6LA (similar to Borla Stingers). I really enjoy the sound when you get on it but not so much when cruising between 1750 and 2000 RPM. Not a drone, but a little too "upfront" for me. I guess I am willing to give up some the awesome roar for a little less of delta in db between on throttle and off. I think I have decided to "downgrade" to either the Borla or FRPP Touring axle backs. Anybody have either that would be willing to trade? Otherwise I'm just going to order the Borla's from AM and eBay the FRPPs.
Get the S types I have that with the FRPP x pipe and BBK shorty headers and it sounds great! Nice deep sound when cruising and roars at wot!!

That's because tiles don't absorb sound. They absorb vibrations. Try some Mass Loaded Vinyl and/or Closed Cell Foam.
