Problem with Bama tune

I have a 2013 V6 mustang with a manual transmission.

Tank full of 93

Went from stock to 93 race tune...car idles like stock cruises like stock, throttle feels the same...car doesn't feel any different.

Everyone says the V6 is a whole new animal tuned...very dissapointing.

I had an SCT XCAL2 on my old 4.6L Thunderbird, it made a MASSIVE change in how the car behaved.

In the case of my mustang I feel NO change.

Furthermore, it says in the instructions that I will be prompted with the option of changing user adjustable perameters. I do not see this option.

Another thing, the custom plate with my name, member # etc says 13GT the car is a V6, no biggie, but here's something, the tune options say

13-GT-87P
13-GT-91P
13-GT-93R

If the tuner had been loaded with GT files, I would THINK they either would not load onto the PCM, or they would, and the car either would not run, or would not run right...it runs fine, just feels stock...very little, if any noticeable change from this tune.

What could be wrong?

Call them up, they will Email you new tunes if they are the wrong ones, but once they check to what was sent they will know from your purchase.

I'm sorry to hear about the typo's on your tuner and plaque. Give the Bama team a call and they'll send you a new Plaque and re-write your tunes, right away!

You should definitely be noticing large gains in a few different departments, over your stock set up. Power, torque, acceleration, drive ability, gas mileage, throttle response and so much more! We send out thousands of tunes and build them all from the ground up for your PCM code and your mods. They're not just "canned" tunes, they're built custom by our team, so every once in a while it's possible we mess one up! We'll definitely get it straightened out for you, though! Give one of our Bama Tuning Specialists a call and they'll work with you to figure out exactly what's going on.

Our Bama Performance tuning specialists are here in the building Monday-Friday from 9AM-5:30PM EST and Saturday 9AM-5:30PM EST. You can hit them up directly at 888.226.9764 and they'll get you squared away!

Unfortunately BAMA does not let you change any parameters ... can't change tire size, gear ratio, idle RPM, Fan on/off temps, etc ... They are the only tuner I know of that locks EVERYTHING .. no idea why.

Oh REALLY! I just called them - they sent new tunes...asked about user adjustability they told me that nothing is adjustable on vehicles newer than 2011....so, basically that's not true? Aw there any good tuners who don't lock down my device? Honestly might return it we shall see

If you buy an SCT tuner without a custom tune and SCT canned tunes everything is unlocked. It's up to Tuner what parameters they want to be user adjustable.

Okay...new tune files loaded, ran 93 race tune, responsive throttle and pulling harder from 3K on up. Overall, I am happy with it...I wish it wasn't locked down for adjustability, but oh well, free tunes for life fixes that issue..

You get free tunes for life, so it shouldn't really be a big deal. I'm sure it makes it much easier for them to troubleshoot a tune, when they know exactly what's been done to it. If a customer changes something and messes up the tune, you can bet they'll be calling AM about their messed up tune even though it wasn't their fault.

A tune alone does little. combined with other mods theres a greater effect

Also dont trust the butt dyno over the actual one
